“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the month” - Mike Tyson I feel the same is true with “faking it til you make it” notion. The moment a confident individual or challenge comes your way you will break and may even fall into worse state of mind. What you should do is go into situations with a purpose. A purpose that is greater than yourself or that is higher than your desired end state in all areas school, work, home, social settings, etc. anytime something new or out “plan” you’ll be ready.

The things which has helped me to become confident was this: I made myself clear that others cannot judge our potential of success until they have see us do our best. And most „friends“ who say we can’t do something, just express their own view of themselves if they had behaved like we behaved. It’s not necessarily they try to keep us away from success, often it’s just a lack of belief in our social and practical intelligence necessary to succeed. But again, if we ask ourselves if we really did our best in front of them and the answer is no… there is no way for other people (not even our parents) to be able to judge our potential. If we keep this in mind, we will have a MUCH easier time navigating through difficult life situations. Update: I have noticed that the following qualities led me to confidence in the following order of importance: First: understanding social and power dynamics: how to respond when someone tries to overpower us? How to fight if he reacts negatively to our response of self defense ? Answering those questions and frequently applying them out there easily puts one near alpha male status in most groups out there. Second: mastery at least two practical skills which can be successfully aligned with most peoples hobbies: be it soccer and basketball… or Tennis and martial arts. But there needs to be a bridge we can build to our bros or we risk to stand too alone for success and thus for authentic confidence. Third: masters of survival skills in case of economic breakdown; how do we light a fire for cooking ? How can we quickly build knives for hunting ? Where do we find eatable berries ? How do we build us a small house of natural material ? How do we effectively defend ourselves from robbers in such situations ? Truly mastering those three points already puts us in the top 3% of men out there which is enough for authentic confidence.

To the *incredible person* that's seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

Confidence comes from ability, abilities come from learning and application which, when done with discipline will ultimately put you in a confident state because you actually know what you can do and what you cannot do and it definitely takes confidence to admit you Don’t know something...

Glad to read that. Confidence is nothing more than having skills and experience in a certain domain. Once you will have that in one domain you will feel confident in that domain. That, however, can change if you switch domains. You may feel confident in your speaking skills in English, but if you would have to switch to German, for example, or any other language that you can barely speak, your confidence will go down until you will master the new language. All the best to you!

@MasteryOrder

@Planet Khan It is not a mindset since you can force yourself to believe that you are confident in a domain, let's say boxing, but as soon as you step into the ring, your confident mindset will break since you will realize that you lack the skills t actually box. Confidence is nothing more than skills, expertise and experience in a specific domain. The more of those you have the more confident you will be in your abilities to handle the tasks in that specific domain. I talk about this on the Mastery Order channel. Feel free to challenge yourself with some ideas and use them to your benefit. All the best to you!

This is true. Confidence is a product of mastery through learning and perfecting of a skill set needed to enable you achieve desired levels of success. It makes you predict your own future accurately. You really can't fake it. You will mirror your lack of it to people because it exudes charisma. When you have it you know it. This video was spot on. Thanks!

If i hear or say word "confidence" I immediately imagine James Bond. He is lives that. In every situation he stuck, he is confident, even he is in the worst possible position. I think thats kinda "fake it till you make it". This is his biggest adventage over his enemies, that poker face that he is able to have all the time. You cant really read the person who wears poker face in every given situation. But after all, James has skills that 1% people have, so he could easily back it up if nessecery. But he definitly also use "fake till you make it" when needs.

There are two types of confidence. First one is a result of competence and is situational. Second one is a result of building self respect and is universal.
