I feel like I can testify this there was a period in my life where I was trying to feel grateful for what I have and not trying to bite of more than I can chew and if another person completed a goal I wanted I wasn’t jealous anymore which is a problem I have, It got to a point where there was no point in trying cus I was okay where I was I had nothing to prove to anyone why should I if I’m ok with what I am, it felt good for a week but after that I felt miserable I kept thinking why even try we are gonna die eventually no one will remember us and when they do it’s only for a good 20mins then they move on with their life I was just existing and the thought of that was killing me on the inside. To fix that I was told a story about the Greek myth Sisyphus his punishment was to roll a rock all the way to the top of a hill but once the rock got close to the top it would roll back down making him do it for eternity making his task meaningless like our life but what I learned about this story was that he had a purpose sure the task was meaningless but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t driven to achieve that goal just like our life when we start out a goal it’s a pain in the but to even begin it’s uncomfortable, tedious at times but when we achieve our goals we feel tremendous pleasure in that only for the rock to fall back and find something else to do it may be meaningless but at the end but it keeps us distracted till we die and I’m good with that.

This world we live in is Godless no reason for anything as you say and that’s why a world with even the idea of God is better than one without it . Life is not pointless and it is also not the end brother the Vikings had Valhalla the satanists have hell and the Christian’s have heaven , I’d advise you to look toward divinity if you really are feeling pointless , every ones here for a reason remember that

Every man should have an ambition but what do we call ambition? For those who do not have, is it that they lack purpose or is it that he's satisfied with what's basic and if they are satisfied with what's basic is there anything wrong?

Ambition is simply a desire to become/achieve. For those who don't have any ambitions whatsoever are usually the ones that are too caught up in the passivity of society's obedience & those who are raised extremely conservatively. Those who are afraid to take risks, receive criticisms & face failures. If you are genuinely satisfied with something basic, then be so. But most people won't, human being in general can't be easily satisfied, especially in today's modern world of overstimulation & excess. Jealousy, envy, lust, greed & hate are noticable everywhere you see, and they will use that to become someone more.
