My self worth is high because as a younger man I am nothing if not potential to create, to build. This potential is driven mostly by knowing that the alternative to carrying myself in high regard is to set fire to all my dreams of having a family of my own. That outcome is simply untenable for me. I won’t bend to it.

I’ve been on a self improvement journey for 4 years now. I used to look in the mirror and call myself worthless. I was just walking one day and it was like the flame inside my heart gained strength and I just declared that I wouldn’t have my environment or my situation define me. I wouldn’t allow the world to just remember me as just another number. Before four years ago no one inspired me to do anything. The inspiration I always wanted from others I never got so I got tired of waiting for someone to help me, for someone to push me. If no one will. Then I will. From then I took ownership of everything no matter if I didn’t know at the moment why, I just started to take ownership. I realized that I would rather do it myself and know for sure that it will succeed then to put fate into others. I got comfortable with saying “I’ll figure it out” when people would ask me questions. I gained a level of confidence that I never imagined I could have. People ask me now how I’m always calm and collective and act like I’m so sure of myself. I just simply say “Why shouldn’t I be? I don’t act, I am sure of myself.”

I could say I'm quite a successful musician. Yet despite my achievements I feel empty (or rather dead inside, am possibly depressed). When I accomplish something, I remain dissatisfied. I always feel like I could have done better. I also compare my skills to those of the ones superior to me (who practice way more than me) and all of that kinda downplays my abilities. All of this leads to my personal sense of self-worth shrinking considerably. I keep seeing advice like "You shouldn't compare yourself to others, you should compare yourself to your past self." This doesn't help me at all, as I feel like I was always kinda shit at my craft and didn't improve much (yet it is completely the opposite in the eyes of others; but I simply am not able to believe them). This cycle of self-sabotage is slowly driving me mad, I am never satisfied and feel extremely unconfident, insignificant and incapable.

The secret of believing wholeheartedly in success and being that confident, is the will of taking risks no matter what the result will be.

Trying to connect our self-worth to our body will lead to unhappiness. We need to know who we really are and what the purpose of my existence should be. Is my purpose to try to build a little kingdom around me that I see to dominate, that I seek to be the center of. The more I see myself as the center of everything, the less ability I have to be compassionate. The more selfless I become, the closer I get to my eternal spiritual nature, the more happy I become.

Your content is very good. However, you need to give a performance and not a narration when you speak. Change your tone and speed here and there. Take pauses. Let us as a listener flirt with the idea you just provide. Take us into a journey of your thought. Let us think. All these happens when you physically interact with a friend or a stranger. Try to inculcate them in your videos and I guarantee you, this channel will grow like anything. I like your content. Keep it up.

I think your comment is a valid concern. We should all be careful and wary about what content we consume. Having said that, here are 2 points I use to navigate the interwebs: 1. Does the content resonate with you, your innerself and your core beliefs? If it does, there's a high chance this content is at least good for you. 2. Does the content make logical sense and can you envision a positive scenario due to applying the concepts in the content? If it does, it's probably good content that can serve you well in your life. Remeber that practical wisdom nugget can come from anywhere, even from someone who is not an expert or authority on the subject matter. Hope this helps dude. Peace.
