Imo, when you reach higher elo (plat/dia), regardless of what you think high elo is. They will react to your plays. It is then up to you to decide whether your play is the right one. You have to commit to your own play and not be afraid that your teammates won't follow up.

Vau Rien If you’re teammates aren’t creating pressure on other lanes than you shouldn’t be splitting. His issue is more apparent as even if you’re splitting at the right time your teammates will just rotate to he lane you were splitting in once everyone on the enemy team had collapsed on you and then fight a 4v5 and loose instead of taking an objective since they have an open lane or objective.

I honestly gave up with TP plays for my team cause either they dont place a ward for me even if I tell them to or they just dont follow my engage. Maybe 1 of 5 TP Plays are actually worth. (Considering the enemy toplaner gets free farm + plates). Also you cant cancel TP anymore so there will be scenarios where you just TP into 3 enemies and die. I stick to ignite now and try stomp my lane as hard as possible instead of relying on others. Splitpushing doesnt work either in SoloQ cause they go in 4v5 when I'm taking t2 turrets. The best tip is still to just abuse OP Champs (Morde , Illaoi , Riven , Jax) IMO.

Its good to see some sense in the comments here. I dont get why these videos have to be so dishonest in some parts. Bot TP ganks are such a dice-role in season 9. You cant cancel them, they nerfed the cd ridiculously AND towerplatings to punish you for leaving lane. This is the worst season for a toplaner to ever leave his lane for more than 20 seconds.

I like the guide and think the tips are very good. That beeing said I still think toplane is only something for very good people that can win most if not all matchups. In my opinion you have to win the earlygame to be useful so you can't play tanks and you either always try to counterpick the enemy or be good enough with you champ that you win even when counterpicked. Because always counterpicking is not reliable enough you need to be good enough to win most matchups and I personally do not want to learn every matchup in order to reliable win toplane.

TP ganks typically only help on carries when your team is behind, and only help on tanks when your team is ahead, and is something you should just keep in mind, not something you should be attempting to do every game. as the top laner your biggest job is objective control. If you're going ignite you're typically going to be playing near the objectives attempting to zone off fights, or if you're taking TP you'll be split pushing away from the objectives only to TP back when the enemy team begin to show themselves. A couple very good tips for top lane when laning phase is over and you are playing for these objectives, is to begin the slow push by taking away all of the mage and cannon minions. but leaving the enemy melee minions to build up your wave. (As a singed player, i often like to proxy push the 2nd wave before my TP, as all you need to do during midgame is walk past them and then TP, but as an prerework pantheon player, i'd just E the backline and setup for my ulti.). The reason for this would be to make someone have to clear it, or if nobody clears it and you win the objective fight,you get an inhibitor. Ending laning phase early is almost always a good move though. but most people kinda do it by default? (We literally get paid to do it.) so its really only a good tip for someone learning the game i guess. the title should be "Roaming", but i guess that's just a nitpick.

I feel like in season 9 League became more team dependent game. Riot involved some changes that increased gold u earn from laning face (if u win ofc) so if your team falls behind you will have A LOT of trouble to hold enemies back from ending the game. And also, they made Baron buff weaker, so if you miraculously win a teamfight and take Baron, opponents will respawn and defend their base. So if you win early, you will be able to end game faster, but if you lose early, your chances of defending structures and outscaling are lower as well.

Stop lying to people. You can't solo carry from top when the rest of the team is feeding. You need at least 1 other person on a relevant champion who is significantly ahead of the gold curve. At least jungle, adc or mid have to do good. It's not possible to 1v9 from toplane anymore in season 9. Its sickening this bs never surrender 1v9 crap is still being taught. Let me be totally clear here: You cant solo carry a game from toplane if the rest of your team is feeding. Neither in bronze, nor in challenger. You will lose those games no matter how hard you try. And even if you miraculously win 1 out of 20 of those games it has nothing to do with anything you have a systematic and reproducable control over. So just accept the fact that you'll lose the games where your team isnt pulling their weight and call those quits, move on don't waste mental energy on it. This is a guide on how to extend your lead, not a guide on how to 1v9. My take on the tp bot thing: while it can definitely help to tp bot and countergank there, there are some key aspects to consider: how many tower plates, minions and exp do you lose off of the tp? If you lose a wave of gold and exp and 2 platings, its not worth to do it even if you get a kill out of it. And if you get the 2 kills, it doesnt miraculously now make your bot win lane now. Tp has a ridiculously long cd. If you're lucky you'll get 1 tp gank off before lane phase is over. And you cant go around and donate kills to your losing bot if the enemy is already fed, because that would just risk you dying too. Edit: These videos are low effort pseudo-educational clickbait view generators, copying style and content presentation from other well established educational platforms while making it even more clickbaity and dishonest then the youtube competition. I think feeding is ok if they stop doing this at some point and dont give up. Feeding because you play poorly and feeding because you gave up is like heaven and earth. I once won with a 2/24 botlane (ez+naut so its not like they farmed to late game like jinx and lulu..) I had good mid and decent jungler. Yesterday i played darius and won lane. Went 4/1/0 early game. Then the air went cold and my hands started shaking. And then the ashe went afk and constantly tried to go back but ended up feeding the enemy evelynn. When we went for a teamfight, i almost killed 2 people but my hands were shaking aggressively. I try to press R and fail multiple times. If i had pressed those Rs and Ashe just accepted that she was afk, we could've won the game. In this meta it's kind of hard to carry from top lane. Top lane is all about counters nowadays. If you play something that's good at carrying you'll just get counter picked and you wouldn't be able to carry. If you wanna carry go mid, you'll have more map presence and it wouldn't matter if you're counter picked cause you can just roam and help get your team ahead.

The problem with TPing from top to bot lane is that you are giving the enemy top free farm and gold from plates. Unless YOU get the double kill bot and some of the farm, you have completely lost your lead top. This RARELY happens in solo q, so it's better a lot of times to take Ignite and just try to snowball your lane. Even a fed tank can hard carry games.
