Ive got a question about the new caps, when you say more solid do mean it feels more weighted, or solid as in more resistant to tilt like stability? Ive got pair of old ones and im trying to deduce what about the new ones makes them more satisfying.

Andrew DiMartino they feel much more solid and a bit more stable (in a looping 2a kind of way). I actually thought the weight had gone up a bit based on the feel and new level of control I had with the new design. I was surprised to find out they weighed exactly the same as before.

Woof, and I bought two Oracles less than two months ago. Still learned a lot, though! I've been using pretty long strings for my 2a learnins (wanted to get comfortable enough with inside and outside looping before I moved on to other videos and I guess I missed that tidbit). Then again, I guess it's not really discouraging. I had a center-trac bearing for one of my other yoyos in that same order and I just -lost- it, ha. Videos with Adam really are the best way for beginners to learn how to do this stuff-you're a superhero, man.

The rubber response pads are more responsive than starbursts, but both can work well when properly setup.

Does this mean we will be getting more/better looping tuts? I have several loopers(mostly using Loop 360s) and have practiced for dozens of hours, but still can't even do the basics. All tutorials(including your old ones) talk about what a good loop should look like(eg the "control angle") but never actually give tips on how to do it. Maybe It's just unteachable.

There is an "unteachable" quality to loops (at least we have not cracked the code yet) but we are planning to revamp most of our old tutorials now that we have these new Oracles. We have discovered a few tips that may help since we filmed our old videos, particularly for tricks like punching bags. That being said, having the right setup makes a world of difference, so make sure your yoyos have the right string length and are properly lubed or else you won't find yourself progressing all that much.

For me personally, one way I tried to correct the looping angle of the yoyo is (on my right hand): If the yoyo angle is too vertical, I try to purposely flick my middle finger (yoyo finger) to the right. This may cause the loop direction to move to the right as well, but it temporarily corrects the yoyo angle. If the yoyo angle is too much (the yoyo will spin out of control), I try to reduce the amount I am flicking to the right and instead, try to move my yoyo finger forward and straight. (instead of flicking it to the right) For me, when I first started loops, I was in the same position as you. There was little advice regarding correct the angle of loops. Don't give up! I hop this helps.

I get my oracle yoyos recently, and I am trying to learn the looping tricks, but every time I throw, it is sleeping and I can't do a loop. I also tried to lube the bearing with thick lube and it didn't get more responsive. So I wrapped the string around the bearing 3 more times to make it responsive and I can do loops, but now it doesn't sleep for other tricks. Am I doing something wrong? Can you help me?

Looping yoyos are pretty simple in terms of tricks. They need to loop and sleep. If it can do both of those things well, it will do what you want. Beyond that, it is all about the feel of the yoyo, which is something that can be described but not show. That's why we spend so much time talking about the yoyo, but not much time showing tricks. We do show some basic loop combos with regens, etc, as well as a very basic wrap trick. Beyond the fact that it loops and sleeps great, I don't think there is much to be learned about any looping yoyo by seeing it do tricks.

The ONE is designed to be easy to use, but it is not particularly great for doing a lot of complex tricks. If you want something really simple the ONE will do, but if you would like it to be a little more capable I would suggest the Sage.

I just got two oracles. My red one is perfect but my blue one is not. My blue one dose not through well or sleep well and it makes a funny noise when I through it. I opened it up to examine and I found that the screw thing was slanted and it made it turn funny. I know this is probably not your fault . But thanks for the red one tho. Sometimes the axle is just not sitting centered. You may be able to push it in and pull it back out to recenter it. Also, try swapping halves with your yoyos and see if they both work well when setup that way.

I personally can not recommend the velocity for almost anyone, unless they want to make things harder on themselves. It makes learning advanced 1a tricks almost impossible, but i would recommend it if you want to clean up your style.

I've got a couple of questions. 1. should I lube my yoyo, I just got my sage yesterday it was fine and all but now its playing less responsive then I'd like. I've been using it alot tho. 2. Could you explain how to get a yoyo back from a trick, I just can't find a video on how to do it.. and can only seem to roll it down then up to make it come back :/.

Lubing the bearing with thick yoyo lube will solve the first problem. I am not clear on what you are asking in your second question.

yotricks I'm meaning when the people in the video do a trick, eg. Rock the baby. They do the trick and without winding the yoyo down and up to get the yoyo into their hand, the yoyo just retracts into their hand without doing anything (well they are probably doing something). Just asking how they do this?

Those are very difficult to quantify. I certainly prefer the new ones, and while I would describe them as more stable and better for loops, I am not sure I can say exactly how or why this is the case. I have found that new players (specifically the rest of the guys in YoTricks who do not routinely practice 2a) find them to be a significant improvement over the old Oracles. For me, I find them better, but not so much that it is dramatically changing what I am capable of as a 2a player.

I've got this really weird question. But I have 3 yoyo's. 1 of them is a ball bearing for string tricks. I can get it to sleep and wake up easily. But the other two are also ball bearing. But whatever I try they just get back up. Is the oracle able to sleep as well as my string one or is it really hard like the other two?

It will sleep. If your other 2 yoyos cannot sleep then most likely the string is not put onto them properly.

You can alternate inside/ outside loops to prevent tension buildup. You can also do the trick Sidewinder to quickly get rid of tension you do get, and its faster than a UFO or Sleeping Beauty for getting tension out.
