Technically, yes, you can use them all together; however, I'm not sure if using all these products in one routine layers well. Alternatively, split it into an AM and PM routine, using your Retinol in the PM. Do you use TIL Retinol Serum or Cream, or their Retinol Super Solution? I am not entirely sure if it has conflicts with Q10, which is also another antioxidant. If you want to be sure you have to ask the Ordinary or the Inkey List. I haven't looked into their serums much, but I have some and I will look into them over the next months. 🙂

Yes, that's fine. Yes, that's fine too. Usually, such eye creams contain a low % of Retinol/Retinal to not irritate the eye area and that you can still use it along with your facial Retinol/Retinal serum or cream :)

Hey :) I honestly have to say that Buffet is the one serum from The Ordinary that breaks me out every single time I use it. I have no idea why. I have an older video on my channel, which is still up. I have tried it with every cleanser and just used it on its own and or with other serums moisturizer, but I got the same results. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You can test it and see how you go and update me. 😉 Edit: Sorry this might not help you but I haven't figured out what's causing it 😞

Hi... I had similar experience with the Buffet; I would ALWAYS breakout whenever I use it no matter how much I avoid other conflicting products. At first it was difficult to narrow it to the buffet but after several usage whiles using it as a lone product it became very obvious. It took several weeks for the last breakout to heal and thankfully without scars. I went back to my old routine and since then my face has been clear and smooth. On a side note; I previously used the Azelaic acid suspension which equally broke me out. At first i thought these products were too potent or that my face was very sensitive to them but i have for a long time always been into skin care and I have NEVER considered myself to have a sensitive skin... I have used Salicylic acid and Tretnoin for over 5 years( NOT COMBINED WITH THE PRODUCTS OBVIOUSLY) and never had a single breakout. Thus with both experiences i decided to avoid any product from the Ordinary; because i am not willing to risk the health of my facial skin as well as money over trying out their various products to see which one works for me.

Hmm, generally, you should use Buffet as a second strep since it is a water-based serum. So it would be applied before. Unless you feel that the product is too strong on the skin, my recommendation would be to mix it with the moisturizer for a better result.

I think that this is too much to use all at once. You may need to split it into two evening routines. Example PM Routines: Cleanser Toner Eucerin First Buffet Cleanser Toner Retinol b5 cream But there are many options, but I recommend not using them all together this can be very sticky. But you can try it. They do not conflict. I am more worried about the layering and pilling so that the product flakes off.

Instead of developing a complex guide listing the compatibility of each of our peptides with each acid and Vitamin C, we have adapted the following approach to maximize efficacy for the maximum number of people: It is best to not use Peptides in the same routine as the following products: Direct acids, LAA (L-Ascorbic Acid) and ELAA (Ethylated Ascorbic Acid). In addition, we would recommend avoiding the use of products containing copper peptides in the same routine as strong antioxidants as well as direct acids/LAA/ELAA." Personally, I think it's best to avoid it when using The Ordinary products. It may not matter when using other brands since those products have different formulations and maybe more stable. But I am not sure about this since using Glycolic Acid or an AHA+BHA cleanser and reducing the Vitamin C may be more effective. You can find useful articles on both sides when reading online or in books. I think it's just because they want that you have the best results since some issues may happen :)

I went a bit over board with actives, chemical exfoliants and in general too much at once in terms of trying new skin care (Korean), when I’m a skincare newbie, didn’t start using sunscreen until 2019, serum and face mist 2018, toner 2019, and I’ve basically ruined my skin barrier, gotten contact dermatitis and I also suspect fungal acne. Never happened to me before, and it’s so frustrating. My skin is so bad. Pimples and red bumps everywhere, besides having red and inflamed skin that doesn’t calm down. Learned the hard way that I’m sensitive and allergic to several actives, and essential oils... especially frustrating as these are now found in almost every skin care product. Guess I’m going back to a simple and limited skincare routine, like no toner, 1-2 serums if any max, and just cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen... Tho not sure if it’s just because I have a broken skin barrier that I’m reacting, but the Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid and Niacinamide serum kickstarted it. The Squalane cleanser and HA moisturizer continued it, until K-beauty made it even worse😭😭😭 Allergic/sensitive to: glycolic acic, niacinamide, squalene oil, rose hip seed oil, green tea, witch hazel, bergamot, centella, snail muchin, aloe vera, beta glucan, panthenol, Vitamin C, and Retinol. (it may oxidize) You cannot find specific studies for Buffet(Peptide) complex and Benzoyl Peroxide, so it is basically unknown, or you have to understand the peptides used. And if you use a cleanser, you wash it off so that they are not in contact. So that should work well 🤔But on the other hand, if the free radicals are still present, it may also affect the peptides when used immediately afterwards. 🤔 Really not sure about that; if you want a reliable answer, you need to ask a chemist, since this is way above my head sry. But personally, I wouldn't use them together or, as described, wait at least a few minutes so that the skin can already absorb it to reduce immediate contact.

Hello Julian, okay so you need intensive care immediately 🤔😉 ? Yes, you can use the CeraVe skin resurfacing retinol with buffet. Buffet is only sensitive to acids so as long as you are not using any AHA or BHA or strong Vitamin C products with Ascorbic Acid in your routine you are fine! ;) So theoretically you can use the Cerave skin resurfacing retinol serum with the CeraVe vitamin c serum. But you should not use the CeraVe vitamin c serum which includes ascorbic acid with the buffet serum since they may cancel each other out. So use them at alternate days/times.

Hi thank you for this video. I currently use The Ordinary Absorbic Acid 8% + Alpha arbutin in the AM, after which I apply a sunscreen that has Niacinamide in it. The sunscreen is from BnB Dermaceuticals. Is this not advised as I know that the ordinary's website doesn't advise using Vitamin C and Niacinamide together. Yes, that's the question. Usually, it should work like this, and if you wear sunscreen, it shouldn't come back, but with wrinkles and fine lines, it's different since they appear no matter what you will do, unless you have surgery. But it may help to prevent it for a bit longer or even reduce it. Anti Aging is tricky. Personally, I think that with dark spots, pimples and hyperpigmentation, it'S a different story. But that's just my opinion and based on my experience. 😉

If you want to use Buffet, combine it with a gentle cleanser that does not dry out your skin and a good moisturiser.
