This is specacular! The Oregon trail is such a big game and was so popular. I would love to see it in Smash

this is a really cool idea, i haven't seen anyone cover this game for smash before! a few questions and suggestions this one: - the pixelating transitions seem a little weird. i think a smooth cut would work fine (like the pac-land stage), or maybe a fade in - if the ox only stops for short periods of time, why can't the entire ground be tangible while it's moving, a la big blue? - the hunting minigame phase is a genius idea. what if, instead of the dead animals acting like extra platforms, they turn into food the fighters can eat - how would the tombstone end thing work in timed battles? overall, this is an interesting idea! nice job anerd

- yeah that would probably work better I just thought it would add more of a DOS feel - just to keep things interesting - that would be pretty epic but slightly gross - whoever came in last place would get it

Damn this is a great concept for a stage. Now that you got me thinking about it I really do think Oregon Trail should be in smash somewhere, rather it be just a stage or something else.

Jackbox Party Pack x Smash Bros would be sick ALSO this stage idea is awesome, I never thought of the game in this way before and its such a creative concept

@@Anerdymous i'm thinking Mayonnaise from JPP5 as a fighter but he encompasses a little of *every* JPP game. maybe some of his non-specials can use the puppets from Trivia Murder Party and each costume gives them a visual difference - nothing too crazy and nothing that would clutter the moveset design too much but enough to embody the frantic feel OF Jackbox, yknow?

I think instead of the ground becoming intangible. It should work kinda like the Spirit Tracks stage or maybe the ground launches you upward like the F-Zero 3ds stage.

Maybe instead of using the actual messages of Oregon trail, they could pop up similar to how the dark lord casts it'z effects, with charicters randomly getting buffs, debuffs, taking small amounts of damage or healing

I think I know a way to get those things like - “so and so got dysentery” and stuff, it can happen when they get a certain amount of damage, like let’s say if Mario was fighting and he was at 30% damage, a thing could pop up saying a random thing, like - “Mario has broken his leg” or “Mario has Dysentery” or something like that, but only when they get certain amounts of damage, like 30% or 50% or something like that

Honestly I’ve hardly heard of this game. Even if it’s definitely worth it legacy wise, maybe lack of modern relevance might be the cause of lack of representation.
