In this video, Jonathan starts with nothing but an idea and ends with a turtle-like thing using the modern design process that involves a lot of math. He also explains how to set up computers to solve this math using the program Treemaker.

Treemaker isn't updated to the recent macOS update. Is there an alternative or a way to fix this?

You need to clarify that this is just one method to designing origami. Not all (not many at all actually) designers use treemaker, it’s just a way for people who don’t understand the mathematics behind design to create their own bases. Using treemaker would make the design belong more to Lang than those just plugging a tree into his software
