Very interesting. I had never heard of this. On another note. President Wilson was responsible for segregation in the Federal government. Separate but equal was one of his policies.

Thank you. And yeah, it wouldn't be until Truman's presidency that desegregation was thought of seriously.

@@newsreelhistory2237 The military was desegregated in 1947 and most of the Executive branch by Executive Order. The one thing that Executive Orders are actually for is giving orders to the Executive Branch of the Government. Although even though the government was desegregated it took some time before the White's Only water fountains disappeared.
