The combination of 07 Optimus' face with his ROTB headshape is kinda weird, the face was made with smaller human-like eyes in mind and he suddenly has that face but with much bigger glowing eyes, it does not mesh well together. I would have prefered either more original face or 07 face with the right eye size or even his Knightform face. There are fan concepts out there how his face could have looked like if done properly.

That’s my hope for this reboot. The Bayverse had its chance with the three movies that were originally supposed to come out after Age of Extinction before the producers decided it was a good idea to combine the scripts of the three movies into one, giving us the atrocity that was The Last Knight (and I say that as someone who loved the Bayverse, ROTF included). The fact that ROTB is bringing Maximals into the spotlight while saving the Decepticons for later to make them a bigger threat gives me a lot of hope for this franchise, and Bumblebee was a very good TF movie, in my opinion.

I've always think that Travis is a good director who's not just one for the money but to enjoy making films with his fellow co-workers and to make a good film for audiences to enjoy. Michael Bay wasn't a bad director but I don't think he's suitable to direct anymore Transformers films, but I hope that he makes some better projects in the future. And as we're heading into Rise of the Beasts, I would wanna say thanks to Travis Knight for what he has started.

I've always wanted to know what the original version of Bumblebee would've looked like. Now that I know, I honestly think the final cut is the best version we've gotten. I say this because, while I like both of Jack Burns and Bumblebee’s story arcs, I don’t think this story arc could’ve worked for Bumblebee, considering he’s supposed to be one of the friendliest Autobots around, and only loses his kindness when he needs to defend himself or his friends and family. As for Jack Burns, I don’t think I could handle another xenophobe character after Galloway in ROTF. To be fair, Burns does learn that not all Transformers are bad by the end, but I still prefer his character in the final cut. Also, I still to this day think that Bumblebee is the best of all the Transformers films combined. In fact, I love this film so much that I'm having a hard time trying to figure out a way to make the Bumblebee movies work in my rewrite of the Micheal Bay Transformers films. Anyway, I loved your video, Theorymus, and keep up the great work.

I personally prefer the BB movie we got into a reboot because as much as love the MB films half of the times they were all over the place and it would've been better if the film was a more simpler story to follow. And I'll be frank I personally felt that we needed a break from the Bayverse. Also TF theories that need to be answered: 1) What did lockdown do with ratchet's spark 2) why did the allspark fixed frenzy but not bee's voicebox 3) is volleybot a new character or leadfoot and topspin combined

When Prime first transformed in Cade's garage, he mentioned to Cade that their sparks contain their life force and memories, and since Ratchet do not want to tell Lockdown where Prime is, Lockdown took his spark, and maybe with some sort of technology, access Ratchet's memories to know where Prime is. This is most likely the reason why the next time Lockdown shows up, aka their first fight, he already knows Prime's location

@@boss9mustang404 I'm not. Remove the G1 designs, which is a pathetic thing to hype up regardless, and the scene is EXCEPTIONALLY bad. The Autobots are supposedly struggling but none of them except Brawn get shot and Brawn doesn't even die. There's no wounded or dead Autobots. They use the Ironhide model for a bunch of generics and don't take advantage of that. The Autobots say a bunch of stuff that isn't relevant to them as characters, and are stating things that aren't visually being backed up. There's fewer Decepticons than Autobots in this scene, how are supposed to believe they're outnumbered? How are we supposed to believe they're struggling then Prime and Bee take them out like they're made of tissue paper? I mean for fucks sake Arcee is standing with her entire torso exposed and isn't returning fire and the Decepticons still can't hit shit. Then after Bee gets there, JUST Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream show up. Soundwave looks too fat to move, Shockwave has a bigass arm that ends in the tiniest fucking gun barrel I've ever see, and Starscream is another seeker that Optimus has been kicking the shit out of, but JUST those three make him run away? Yeah that's bullshit. So then the Autobots run to an escape pod launching tower which doesn't make sense because if all of these pods could be launched individually, were going to different locations, and only hold one bot, then WHY were they holding cover in front of it!? The plan was always to leave Cybertron? Why waste the time? Can't be that Optimus has to tell Bee in person considering he sends a message to him from Cybertron to Earth later in the film meaning he could have just sent him his mission as a message. So as the Autobots get to the top of the tower Shockwave orders a gaggle of Seekers to "Destroy the launch pad and let none escape". We then see with great detail the Seekers transform, fly to the tower, then fly above Optimus and Bumblebee where they proceed to do NOTHING while EVERY AUTOBOT ESCAPES! Between them flying above Optimus and Bee and the time they actually shoot their guns we literally see every single Autobot get in a pod and escape. So they willingly just didn't do the "Let none escape" thing. THEN when they do shoot their guns, where Optimus and Bumblebee are POINT FUCKING BLANK for some fucking reason their bullets swerve AROUND the launch pad and hit the side of the tower! And the tower falling over is meaningless because it's only after that does Bumblebee get in a pod and escapes. To recap, the guys tasked with not allowing any escape pods to launch and to destroy the platform where they launch from float around with their dicks in their hands letting everyone escape before just not doing their job. And fuck it, bonus round because this, which lets be honest is the same scene just cut and shoved in a different location in the film awkwardly, also just makes the whole thing EVEN WORSE! So Prime was so scarred of Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream, so then he gets surrounded by them as well as Blitzwing, Shatter and Dropkick. Soundwave deploys Ravage despite the fact he's too fat to push the button on his shoulder, and Ravage knocks his gun away and pins him down. They have him surrounded, he is weaponless, and he supposedly can't beat any of them... and then fucking SOMEHOW he escapes instantly, to the point where Blitzwing loses track of him so fast that he has to follow Bumblebee which means this happened BEFORE BUMBLEBEE LEFT ORBIT! Actually fuck it, Shatter and Dropkick tracked down Cliffjumper, who left SIGNIFICANTLY earlier than Bee, meaning Optimus beat the Decepticon's asses so fast that it transcended time and somehow happened before they even blew up the fucking tower! This scene is the DUMBEST scene in a live action film. There is NO thought put toward the progression of events or how they affect the actual plot. Claiming it to be on the same level as the forrest fight, Sentinel's betrayal, and especially the Autobots arrival is beyond fucking laughable. The ONLY reason people like the scen is the fucking G1 designs, which is absurd because the G1 designs are oversaturated as FUCK. They're in fucking EVERYTHING so it doesn't matter if the movies don't have them!

I definitely agree that the finished movie is better than what was originally planned, but I definitely think it would be interesting to see the movie as it was originally planned. My guess is that after the TLK’s box office came in, Paramount was planning on releasing it quietly to minimize their losses and shelving the Transformers franchise for a while. Had it not been so far along in production that they would have lost more money pulling the plug on it they may not have even released it. But things happened the way they did for the better. Here’s to hoping that fans of all generations and across the spectrum of opinions about the movies prior can unite and enjoy Rise of the Beasts (it’s a long shot, but not impossible)!

Personally, I would've liked to see the character arc Bumblebee had about losing faith in humanity and finding that not all humans are bad with Charlie. (I myself would've needed that lesson in that time). But still, Bumblebee turned out great!

I also remember Jon Bailey (voice of Soundwave & Shockwave) mentioning other cuts of the film, even one where Starscream actually had dialogue. Though, I'm not sure if I'm misremembering or not.

I do like that they kept what worked with the series from the original movies. Bumblebees design, personality, his origins, some of the voices and other character designs. While adding in that charming classic feel to the whole thing. Best thing about all the old movie designs were the faces and I’m glad most of them stayed even with the scrapped Megatron

I think one of the most interesting things about this cut version of Bumblebee is Barricade. It's weird because Barricade obviously doesn't show up in either version of the film but Jess Harnell stated, in May 2018, that he was voicing Barricade in the film. There was even a toy of Barricade released in the Bumblebee toyline based on Barricade with a 1980s cop car alt mode. I guess he was cut extremely early into production, but if that's the case why did Jess Harnell say he was in it? Did he do some voice work? Great video btw

On the home media release of "Bumblebee": Travis Knight: With the design of this film, we wanted to make sure it felt more evocative to the '80s Transformers designs, at the same time these are characters that exist in the same universe as the other films, so it couldn't be such a departure where it felt like a totally different movie. So, Bumblebee has a look, we just brought that look into the 80s and did some reformulation.

While Bumblebee was arguably the most loyal Transformers film we’ve gotten, and Burns (John Cena) was a cool character, I still hope we get to see an evil human military character in future films. Someone like Cylas from Transformers Prime who hated and killed transformers, but ultimately ended up becoming one (Nemesis Prime), would be an incredibly interesting character for the Autobots, and possibly Decepticons, to face off against.

I have been telling people for a short period of time that the live transformers weren’t working because they had no plan at the beginning! Right after the 07 Bay didn’t believe it would succeed however since it was proven wrong they straight up kept making movies right after one another. Unlike Marvel and DC franchise- The point is, Bay, Paramount, and Hasbro didn’t coordinated plans at the beginning thereafter Dotm, this cinematic movies were in debatable position. So yeah so much for making plans when your peers always ask what’s your plan for the future!

Isn't it crazy how both BBM and ROTB had opening scenes cut and replaced in favor of fan service? BBM cut Bee's original arc so we can get live action G1 bait, and ROTB cut out the Transit fight and Prime's opening speech so we can get Maximals. A shame.

Here’s something interesting, proof that not everything got changed. there was a movie comic where Bee teams up with a spy I think in the 60s. Bee goes on an adventure and it ends with him searching for Blitzwing who Bee thought had killed his fembot friend, thus maybe in the original plot the encounter with Blitzwing wasn’t just a random fight, but that maybe Bee and Blitzwing already had a bit of a history. This comic still even had the “Official movie prequel” labeling like many movieverse comics had. As Shane as ti was a pretty good comic, so for my headcanon I throw it in as just another Bee adventure in the movieverse timeline.

Whether or not it's the cut we see or the original cut, the Bumblebee film is a banger of a movie. Who knows, maybe Hasbro and Paramount will release an extended version of Bumblebee with the original cut and the cut we saw as one film and as a tie-in to both the Bayverse and the spin-off films

I’m personally glad that they rebooted the franchise. Seeing bayformers go was sad but it suffered enough. Also I’m tired of cinematic universes right now. It would be good if the rebooted continuity were to be a trilogy. Edit: At least Paramount didn’t cancel the movie unlike Warner Bros cancelling Batgirl.

Here’s the thing about this they never confirmed that the story was a reboot even with the re-shoots this film can still be considered a prequel still and if they are trying to make a reboot Then say something to the producer Lorenzo Bonavantura because from what he’s been saying no it’s not even the Director of rise of the beasts says this film (his film )is a true reboot because we’re moving past decepticons nothing of we’re ignoring Michael bay. I’d also like to point out that Travis knight confirm the reason why Megatron doesn’t appear in the Cybertron flashback wasn’t just because of budget but because he knew it would’ve screwed with continuity with the 2007 film so the re-shoots weren’t made because hey let’s turn this into a reboot it was probably more or less just to capitalize on the sweet G1 nostalgia now I know the ending of the film does heavily conflict with 2007 but that could easily be explained in the next three movies coming out however I personally believe they’re going to ignore the last knight ever happened because of its box office low Edit: sorry for the typos was typing this out with my microphone instead of my fingers lmao

Still not convinced Bumblebee or Rise of the Beasts are full blown reboots because even after 5 years Paramount still hasn’t said anything about what universe they take place in I’m still theorizing that Rise of the Beasts is gonna take heavy inspiration from X-Men Days of Future Past and reboot the franchise that way and it makes sense for Paramount because they’re having a hard time letting go of Bayverse which is why there’s still a lot of elements floating around the recent films PS: I believe there’s a comic that’s part of the Bumblebee movie and it’s apparently canon but there was never a confirmation of it being decanonized and like I said before Paramount hasn’t said anything not even Hasbro therefore proving Bumblebee is still very much a prequel to Bayverse and further proving my theory about Rise of the Beasts

I actually have a funny story to share, my dad and I were large fans of the Bayfilms, and we never seen a single trailer of Bumblebee. We expected what we were promised, a WWII film of Bumblebee slaughtering Nazis. We were extremely dissatisfied in everything we saw and also the same day we discovered what G1 was. Not happy.

It's not the same film, bumblebee's character arc is completely removed. New scenes are added in. John Cena said his character was completely different in the original version, old scenes are removed. It's a different film all together just with a similar premise

Honestly they should have made this a prequel instead of a reboot and kept everything from cybertron bumblebee protecting earth to the 1980s And anything that was added in that would make more sense they were searching for megatron but instead came across cliff jumper which led them to Earth and other stuff like that
