The Original Hubsan Zino - Test Flight With a Brand New Battery January 2023

In this video I fly the Hubsan Zino with a brand new battery ordered from Amazon. I still got the dreaded "battery drains too quickly" warning on the app. However, I still was able to get a decent flight in and demonstrate some of the features of the drone.

Five years doesn’t seem that long ago, but you can definitely tell the difference in drones. I was looking at drone reviews on KZbin earlier and the difference in what was available 4-5 years ago compared to the Mavic 3 is astounding.

❤I already have a standard battery on order but not landing till August, so I have asked the seller to send me a batt as compensation, If you 0:00 suggest the extended batt of 4000 mah fixes this problem then I could potentially wait and get one of them, I would be happy with this, but otherwise I might as well return it, get the Sg906 again I guess.Most people expect goods to work out the box as adve 0:00 rtised if it does NOT you are entitled to REFUND 😊😊

You just keep giving the old Zino another shot! Let's see how it goes 😏 Hubsan: The one drone maker I haven't had the misfortune to fly.. Zino - the Wanderer! Not bad for a budget buy but not too good either! Sometimes those Hubsans act like they have no sens (ors) at all! I like the "Sport mode 8 m/s" . No faster but darn sporty! To find some silver lining: the SDcard image is not horrible at all.

Ha! Your comments are spot on! The low bit rate on the video hinders it when you yaw, or move the camera, but when looking straight ahead it's not bad. 😀

Hi Marcus, Love your new ZINO video. GIFI Power has a new Extended power battery for the Zino. It is a 6500ma battery. This battery is supposed to extend the flight time several minutes longer than their 4200ma battery. Would you please do a video using this battery and compare the flight time with an original HUBSAN battery and GIFI Power 4200ma battery. What kind of flight times do you get from your Hubsan Zino? I got mine 2 days ago and the App is saying return to home only after 10 mins or so which is nothing ( most modern drones fly for 25 mins minimum)I have communicated with seller on ebay and he say either Return for Refund and I would buy alternative, maybe Sg906 beast 3, Sjc F11 or XMC M11 Turbo. Or I ask for a battery replacement in the hope this will fix the low flight time.I guess he will send this quick as he sent me the drone after 2 days.I would be happy with the drone with a roughly 25 mins flight time, but when the App says battery is low I guess I got to listen to it to preserve the model.It is a five year old model now so I guess you brought yours when it first came out so all has been fine, but another KZbinr said as it's a five year old model and I just brought it, that would account for the low flight time.Should I just return for Refund?

@@korma9732 Hi, I tried my Zino today with my new 3200 Gifi Batt, and it flew for about 14 mins , which is OK and there where NO battery warnings with the new battery, so the original battery I got is poor.Someone suggested it's because it's 5 year old drone, so it's prob been sat around waiting to be purchased all that time and batt has degraded. I have been offered £35 compensation (yet to materialise) for this dudd battery which I have accepted from the seller. I due course I will be buying probably 2, maybe 3 (4200mah ) GIFI batts, so this should get me up to around 20 mins flight time I am guessing !!! Rob

I will be getting probably 2 or 3 more batts of 4200 mah (GIFI) batts in the future, they should bring me up to around 20 mins flight time I am guessing, will be Happy then , Rob🙂

👍👍The Zino is still a good drone ! For my Zino ( Pro) , I use GIFI POWER 4200 mAh battery : 29 min flight time ! I use my Zino sometime with a sunny day

hello again my friend, fellow Zino flyer, have you tried your model with a variety of mobile devices as I have found that despite the lead for connection is new my motorola g13, takes for ever and a day to connect to my device.what mobile do you use? i think maybe the i phone link may be better.I have a fractured wrist at the moment, so flying is cancelled until I am all healed up.I got 13 mins flight with my new GIFI 3200 mah battery so, when I get the 4200 mah batt, I am hoping for around 18 mins flight, I reckon I should get that marcus. My good friend I also have brought the beast Sg906 again- so I am a happy camper!!!

Sorry the new battery didn’t solve your issue. And even worse is the fact that Hubsan last firmware update for the Zino left this battery software bug unfixed. I hope your new eBay battery works better, but I’m guessing its the firmware, and not the batteries. Great testing, and thanks for sharing.

I’ve got a Zino Pro with the exact same battery issue. New batteries and new charger didn’t help. Found several updates and performed those as well to no avail.

I noticed that it 8:17 in your video, you are in a menu and there is an option for "Maximum Heading Speed" that was only set to 35%. You might want to set that to 100% and then see if the flight speed goes faster than 8 m/s.

Yes, Kris, that's just kind of the nature of the original Zino. All it has is a barometer and GPS to keep it's place in space. It wanders a little. 🙂
