Every character on this show has done horrible things. Freya and Elijah made a choice between saving Davina and saving their family. It was an awful choice and as wrong as it was, I understand it. Davina was already dead, because the ancestors made Kol kill her, because she herself arranged a massacre of witches. Then again Davina was just a kid in over her head, acting on Marcel’s advice, and was only Regent because Vincent pushed her into taking his responsibility. No one is blameless. The moral complexity of this show is just one of the many reasons I love it so much 💚

And if the roles were reversed if Vincent And Josh and Davina sacrifice Hope and Marcel was defending them and trying to get right with like how Klaus was doing! Klaus would kill all of them and Marcel lost his daughter basically so he went after all the Mikaelson and it just wasn’t for Davina death! They were fed up with all the killing and hurting that was caused by the Mikaelson so Davina’s death was the tip of the ice

@@hsz_xk Season 2 became one of my favorites bc of Elijah alone. Adding Niklaus made it even better. Though, other than the Originals, my favorite TVD character was Malachai.

The family was finally coming together, Klaus and Hailey were even getting along. Everyone had a common enemy and then Elijah and Freya decided to take over the role as the ruthless siblings and pull this mess. What makes it worse is that Klaus was against sacrificing Davina but now Marcel won't believe that. I eventually forgave Freya, but I'm still pissed at Elijah to this day. Had Freya and Elijah simply talked to Vincent to see how things were on his end, then they would've known that they got the new regent on their side. Which means Freya could've channeled the power of the ancestors and Davina wouldn't have had to have died (I know behind the scenes reasons actually caused it but still).

@@redhoodsolos7050 Officially, the reason given was that it's just where the writers decided her storyline should go. Honestly, it became obvious that they didn't know what do so with her character post season 1, because she's always a third tier antagonist every season. Unofficially, there were a lot of fans that didn't like Davina because they felt like she was too much of a brat. There might've also been a lot do bullying fan mail that made her want to leave or take another role.

@@redhoodsolos7050 Honestly, a lot do the reasons why certain (recurring/main) characters got killed off or disappear is frustrating. Leah Pipes (Cami) got bullied off because of fan death threats from Klaroline stans. Casper Zafer (Finn) decided that he didn't want to be an actor anymore, literally right after he started becoming interesting in TVD. Then he came out of semi-retirement for his return in TO only to again want to retire for good so they had to kill him off again. Claire Holt had another acting role on the series Aquarius, but eventually decided that she wanted to spend more time with her family in LA and Australia so she left the show for long hiatuses.

I may be 2 years late but you got to think about it this way…ain’t no way Marcel can go after and kill Elijah and Freya without Klaus being cool with it! He would have to face the entire family if Marcel went after any of the Mikaelsons. Marcel said it himself in the finale, you face one of them you face all the Mikaelsons! Kol proved this by siding with his family even though his family just killed the woman he loved! So Marcel has to be mad at the whole family

@@thegreenman2729 I agree. I'm so glad that you see that It's mainly Davina's fault because people keep wanting to blame Freya and Elijah. Her actions caused he own death so people need to stop acting like Freya is the villain and Davina is the victim. Davina has never done anything to help the Mikaelsons unless it was to her benefit she always worked against them even when she didn't even know them. She was already dead and Freya being the big sister and the most powerful out of them had so much pressure and responsibility to protect her little siblings. Lucian wouldn't just kill her family he would of killed anyone he wanted so Freya and Elijah did the world a favor. It was there only options so people need to wake up. Davina wouldn't even hesitate to kill them and they have the nerves to hate Freya. When I said it was Vincent's fault too meant that he gave her the idea and motivation Knowing she couldn't handle it. Cami and Marcel even told Vincent that he needs to help mentoring her. He just threw his responsibilities on her without even helping her and he never even felt any guilt towards it while he want's to make Freya feel guilty and horrible even though it was also his fault and she was protecting her family.

Two little fun fact, Joseph and Daniel didn’t want the characters of Tristan and Aurora to died, so the writers found a compromise by making him reach the brink of death without actually dying and putting Aurora under a sleeping spell. I don’t know if you notice, or ever thought about it. But, in season one, and two, the show big bad was a females. (The Harvest girls, and Dahila) Aurora, was originally supposed to be the season big bad. However, the actress booked another project so at the last minute they had to change it. I got some theories on why they decided to change it to Marcel. 1. They wanted it to be someone close to Klaus. On one hand we got Klaus first love, and the other hand we got his first son. 2. They had already killed off Aya. 3. The writer’s knew that they could get Marcel back for next season. The reason, why I think Marcel took Aurora place, and not Lucien is because Aurora wasn’t supposed to died. The writers was trying to establish that Klaus, and Aurora doesn’t have it in each other to actually killed each other, and I feel like that same thing can be said about Klaus, and Marcel.

Klaus has always seen him as a son, but also had abandonment issues and would lose it whenever Marcel wanted to go away and live his own life.
