Bill Ankeny--- As always Tim another great episode of Monuments Monday. Would like to make a suggestion, I have read a chapter about the Granite Shoolhouse Hospital, don't know if you have done one on this before, but would be nice if sometime you could do a site video about it.

Tim says he should have reread his own book. He has two earlier references in there that push the name Big Round Top back to 1844.

The 1843 diary of Anna Cecelia Houck a July 4th Picnic on "Round Top." And in 1844 the Gettysburg Methodist Church had a large "camp meeting" on the "lands of Peter Trostle near Round Top."

On it's own, a great ACW movie. Not accurate but really entertaining.

As per author Glenn Tucker: The 15th AL regiment marched 26 miles; then marched and countermarched with Longstreet for hours; then climbed up and then down BRT. After a savage battle with the Federals near LRT, the 15th Al regiment climbed up and then down BRT. During much of the climbing and descending of BRT, the 15th AL had no water. All of this was done in 85 to 90 F temperatures. A Lt.Terrell rode his horse up the SE side of BRT to give a message to the 15th’s commander. Tucker writes that this ride was an amazing feat of horsemanship by Lt. Terrell.
