This score so lush, hypnotic, and subtlety alluring. Was she (Marie France St Pisier) gorgeous or what at this time? My favorite scenes: the 2 refusals Demeris and the one Yes. And then Noelle finally meeting Larry on the staircase. My mom wanted to see it and picked me up on semester break 1977. We saw it in Westwood, CA. I've seen this movie dozens of times since then

There will never be another Michel Legrand , his music breaks your heart or lifts you to the heaven’s-saw this movie years ago with my brother who is now deceased , the film means a great deal to me , I remember my brother Jim, loved it -but listening to the score brings back those beautiful memories had two great brothers , younger than me , both gone. Life is unpredictable you can’t plan. Thank you Michel Legrand for leaving this world with such gorgeous music you composed , you will live on and on , you will never be forgotten , it’s impossible to forget a genius.

Being a fan of Michel legrand of so many years, cannot explain after all these years why his music still breaks my heart with “the other side of midnight” the score is like no other , another masterpiece like “a time for love” where I actual feel I’m in love, when that’s not even the case, Michel was simply put a genius in that he made you “feel” which is the greatest emotion of all , whether it’s lost love like the score to the “other side of midnight “or “ a time for love” which makes my heart soar , high above the clouds , how lucky we were to have him
