When I was a little kid in the 60's, the Outer Limits would scare the crap out of me. Nowadays, I really enjoy watching the old reruns (not the latest versions).

Agreed, not too many people talk about the shortened second season, many episodes were terrific like : Soldier, The Inheritors, I Robot, Cry of Silence, Wolf 359, Premonition and finally The Probe!!!!!

Loved Demon with a Glass Hand - my favorite episode and probably the best one of the entire series. The Zanti Misfits still gives me major creeps to this day.

Truly a television show that was original, emotional and at times touching. Great make up and overall top quality production. The first real adult stories. Excellent writing, camerawork and music . Especially the first season. The All time greatest science fiction television show ever, never to be equal.

I loved the show and used to watch it ..... but though the fingers of my hands covering my face. It scared the hellouta me. And I would never watch it late at night because I knew that for sure I would have nightmares.

Great show. The monsters were just a prop to deal with some social or moral issue. Very creative, even more then the Twilight Zone which was also very creative. The one where David McCallum changed appearance as he gained intelligence is one I vividly remember. Too bad it wasn't on longer.

I grew up in the 70s on reruns of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. I didn't see The Outer Limits until the Sci-Fi Channel (now SyFy) ran a marathon in the early 90s. I was blown away by how well the series had held up. Like Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits had some thought-provoking stories that still feel relevant today. I'd love to see The Outer Limits get a Blu-ray release filled with extras about the show. I know it got a 90s reboot but it feels like it could be revisited again by one of the streaming services.

I love this show since I was a kid. It still has my attention decades later. I recently watched two episodes and really enjoyed them even though I knew them pretty well. The show still has a hold on me.

My parents got divorced in the easy 80's and I spent weekends at my grandparents. I still have found memory's of staying up late and watching The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone as a kid. I was being sneaky because my guest bed was in the TV room :)

The Twilight Zone was fun 'n all but The Outer limits went way beyond, and was more thought provoking and facinating. Robert at 68.

Iconic series, even 6 decades later the show captivates (so much better than 99% of the garbage forced upon TV viewers nowadays). Note that Twilight Zone did have a handful of 1-hour episodes.

My folks were cool enough to let me watch all the Monster movies & TV shows when i was a kid of 6 back in 63 & this was & still is my favorite . Always great writers ,actors & cool sets & of course all the monsters !!!! I still have a full set of the Outer Limits bubble Gum cards that are original not the ones they redid anyone could by, we had to get that awful hard as rock flat piece of so called bubble gum which we all just tossed in the trash. From i have read these original cards in good shape go for 1200 buck & up . At 68 i still love this show & have them all on DVD & yea VHS i copied when the show did it's many re runs. Still the best Sci Fi - Monster show ever. I think we all still have Vic Perrine's Control Voice permanently ingrained in our brains !!!

I use to watch this show every Saturday afternoon as a kid. Demon with the Glass Hand is the best episode. You can still visit the hotel lobby it was filmed at in Downtown Los Angeles..The Bradbury Building..it was created by the same man who was the screenwriter for Psycho I believe, Joseph Stefano.

I was a few months shy of 9 when the '63 series started. I still love everything about this original series. The music, the effects and storylines were awesome. When that new Outer Limits series came out I thought it was going to be remakes of the 1963-1965 episodes with the improved modern effects, but unfortunately it wasn't. Many of those original episodes could have easily made great movies. Still can't see why the '63 series reruns are rarely ever shown on TV???🤔 Thanks for the memories of my favorite sci-fi show.🥰👍

I don't know but when Robert Culp was moving about in his alien form especially when he was meeting his wife it still gives you the chills. It kind of reminds me of David Cronenbreg's 1986 The Fly (in fact Culp's alien transformation scenes are eerily reminiscent of that movie).

Oh, yeah, I saw every episode at the time of the original broadcast. My favorite, The Architects of Fear stuck out for me as being the one I remember the most! It definitely scared the shitake out of me and at the same time made a lot of sense to me!

Because it was filmed in 1963 during all the tension of the cold war, and being filmed in black & white made the Outer Limits even more scary. Many great 1st year episodes include The Galaxy Being, The Chameleon, Sixth Finger, It Crawled out of the woodwork. With great actors like Cliff Robertson, Ed Asner, Robert Duvall, David McCallum, Robert Culp, Martin Sheen and Martin Landau. 👍

When I was very little and the show would come on in reruns I would actually get "worried" if my siblings wanted to change the channel before they "put the TV back the way it was" at the end! Haha!

Someone can back check me on this; in the Carl Sagan book "Demon Haunted World" he talks a lot about the alien phenomena. People from different cultures were seeing different beings, from devils to magical beings to aliens; all of which looked different. Even on the alien hit parade, people reported seeing different types of aliens: lizards, blonde and beautiful, non humanoid, robots etc. But there was an episode of The Outer Limits that featured a large eye, large head, gray skin type alien, and suddenly the world was reporting encounters with the gray aliens so popular now. Sagan credits TOL for staring this worldwide phenomena. It's been a long time since I read it and I don't remember all the details, sorry if I missed something.

First-rate 60s classic sci-fi tv series. As I grew up, I began to have less fear when watching the Outer Limits. My favorite episode was The Guests, about a young drifter who encounters an interdimensional being, disguised as a Victorian house where time has no meaning, who has captured people from different past eras for an experiment. 😱🫣🙀
