5 of the "tips" are "remember to spend your skill points" and another is "you can use melee weapons to kill things" *facepalm* Here, I'll give you some actual useful beginner tips. 1. Even if you never liked Science in Fallout, at least put 20 points into it. That gives you the ability to permanently improve equipment at a workbench at the cost of bits, and there is no limit to this other than your wallet. 2. Steal EVERYTHING. Like yourself, space corporations have no morals and every vendor will accept stolen goods as if they were not. *Protip: If there is one or a few specific things you want to steal but can't because of onlookers, nab them as fast as you can - when an NPC approaches you can talk your way out of it with speech checks, gaining only 1% negative rep with that faction regardless of what you took. Very useful for getting certain specific items here and there.* 3. Unlike the Fallout games, Outer Worlds heavily borrows level design from games like Deus Ex and BioShock. If you can't progress past certain points due to lack of speech, hacking or lockpicking skills, just look around. There are tons of places to jump, climb and crawl (crouching ACTUALLY LOWERS YOUR CHARACTER HITBOX) your way into places you aren't able to get into using skills. 4. Annoyingly enough, the only way to see damage types and what they do is in the Codex. Here's what they are +strong and -weak against: Physical: -Armor Plasma: +Flesh, -Armor, Automechanicals Shock: +Automechanicals Corrosion: +Armor, Automechanicals N-Ray: +Bypasses armor completely, -*very* weak against Automechanicals. N-Ray is special in that it halves your direct damage but deals DoT to and around the target. 5. Consumables can be consumed directly with F for their effects, no need to waste an Adreno. 6. And most importantly, remember that you can *SHOOT* your weapon with Left Mouse Button. If you do so while *AIMING* at an *NPC* you will inflict *DAMAGE* on them, and inflicting enough will make them *DIE* . SHOOT - Physically express hatred through the barrel of your current gun AIMING - Moving your mouse in such a fashion that the reticle in the middle of your screen lands on top of another character before shooting NPC - A "Non Player Character", any character in the game that is not the player character (you!) DAMAGE - Shooting an NPC deals "damage" which lowers the metaphysical container in which they store their life spirit, also known as a Health Bar DIE - Dealing enough damage permanently kills the target, you evil bastard

1/ Don’t spend too much bits on the first rank of weapons, save them for the Ultras. 2/ Make sure you buy the high level armour from Celeste Delacour. 3/ Make sure you get the perk that reduces an enemy’s armour rating by 10% for every hit. You need it for the last boss.

1. Invest in lockpicking or you will barely find any ammo. 2. Mid game you will want the Tech tree, mainly Science (for weapon effect power) and Tinkering (to upgrade weapon dmg and armor points) 3. Not everyone does this but.. run around and pick up EVERYTHING, break it to pieces or sell whatever you don't need to shop. 4. SAVE ALL YOUR MONEY! this will go directly into tinkering gear costs which will make you even more powerful.

The most important lesson for this game is that you should steal everything you see. As long as you don't get spotted it will net you massive amounts of weapons, ammo, armor, and a wide variety of consumables(including lock pics to rob more people).

I'm avoiding defense and melee entirely. Everything else I think makes the game better. Ranged for sure, particularly early on. Please, Fallout 4 is much better than this game. I’m 23 hours into OuterWorlds and it’s a good game but there’s nothing extravagant about it. It looks like a 2009 Xbox 360/PS3 game. It’s very colorful but at the same time very bland. I was never a fan of Fallout 3 or New Vegas but when Fallout 4 came along that changed. Fallout 4 improved and added: Much better Gunplay Graphics were better The maps were larger It had Settlement Building/Customization/Defense/Agriculture Companion Customization/Relationships/etc Great Expansions Tons of Awesome Mods Story and Side Quests were interesting and fun You can form a government by uniting all your settlements and have them trade with each other. Fallout 4 blew away the previous titles and is still better than Outer Worlds. That’s why Fallout 4 got 9 out 10 scores from IGN, GameSpot, etc and OuterWorlds got what??? So your original comment= “R.I.P.”

"Wanna see Felix do a sick dropkick"? I sure do....still waiting for him to do it. That skill has to be the absolute most useless. If his target has like more than 2% life it never kills it and the stun is meaningless compared to say Parvati's stun from her hammer.
