Some songs just automatically take you back to a certain time. When this song came out, I was 14 and my sister was 17. Her bf was 16, her first bf ever, and he broke up with her because he was interested in a chick who was 18. I’m sure you can imagine how many times I heard “I like my girls a little bit older”. And they’d just “done the deed” for the first time, so the chorus fit, too, especially in the mind of a teenage girl. 💔 This cassette got a lot of play that month!

The Keyboardist's name was Mr. Reg Webb - he was blind. Sadly him, the writer and lead guitarist John Spinks and the lead singer and bass player Tony Lewis have all since passed away. Only Grahame Leslie (other guitarist) and Alan Jackman (Drums) are still with us.

Good song! Simple and catchy. The vocals make that song along with the secondary guitar part. If you like the sound of this band and their interesting but beautiful background vocals in harmonies, you should do a video on the song" playground" . To me it is one of their better composed pieces. Similar vibe to your love as far as sound and production is concerned, but a little bit different feel . A slightly harder edged but emotional and catchy at the same time
