Can't wait to see The Outwaters...and Robbie is right, I just watched that Little Children trailer...omg the use of the train and train crossing sounds are FANTASTIC and add a sense of dread/chaos that few other sounds could (and the suggestion of Connely's dialogue just tightens the tension perfectly and is a great complement to the impending explosion of sound). Great interview!

Didn’t love the film, but am loving the director after this interview. I agree about Kyle. She gets such a bad rap. Still looking forward to what he does next. This was a bit too self-indulgent for me with the hour-fifty runtime, and not much character-building or anything particularly interesting happening for the entire first hour of it. Though if you loved Skinamarink, this definitely would be a great companion film for a double feature.

The first half is extremely boring and the second half you keep wondering wtf is going on and what did you do wrong in your life to end up here watching this movie. Movies like this are not any different than grabbing a brush and splashing paint in different colors onto the canvas. Could mean anything or nothing and is just open to interpretation and they call this art. Give me a break.
