Thank you so much for making it seem so simple. Sometimes when you’re trying to go buy a users manual it loses something in the translation! You make it look so simple. Thank you again

Hello Graham, I really enjoy your videos about improving the image quality of FZ80. Your PDF User Guide is very helpful as well, it downloaded no problems. Would you be so kind and help with 2 items? 1- With all other cameras when I plug in the USB cable to my iMac I see the Memory card and am able to download my pictures but with this Lumix FZ 80 this does not happen, what can I do to make it happen? Below is a picture of the screen that shows no connection but wants to charge the battery instead. 2- When the histogram shows, it is right in the middle of the screen, is there a way to get it to move to the lower right corner? Thank you for your help. Wally Motloch

Hi Graham. I recently bought a TZ200 (not a bridge camera, obviously, but the menus are more or less the same) and I find that in very low light, while the AF system does obtain focus lock quickly, it doesn't display the actual active AF point(s), instead it displays in green the corners of a large rectangle. Is this normal? This applies to 49 area and custom multi modes where the camera has to choose where to focus. Thank you.

Hello mr. Graham and thanks for your tutorials! I've a question about AFC in M and S mode: if I set aperture and shutter speed parameters wrong (ie underexposed) when I half press shutter button I see in the monitor a normal image and not underexposed as I see in AFS. Is this a problem of my FZ82? Thanks

I have two Canon 7D's and wanted something not so heavy, so I bought a Lumix FZ80. (I also bought the Lumix LX10). I have it set on RAW and no Jpegs. I am beyond frustrated using options like Dynamic Monochrome, because it seems the camera takes these pictures in Jpeg rather than RAW. Is that correct? How do I edit these pictures? Lightroom has now become a headache with this camera. In Library module, it uploads pictures out of order and then when I try to process them in the Develop module, the pictures stack in the upper left corner when I go from one picture to the next. Any help you can give me would be appreciated!

Hello, Mr Houghton, i don't know if you will see this, or if this would be the best video to post this question, but what would be some good recommendations to set the custom modes? I would welcome suggestions from anyone. I have some set and but i catch myself setting up everything in manual mode more and more.

Dear Mr. Houghton. I need of Help. I bought a Panasonic Lumix DC-fz82 camera. I saw your videos on KZbin. And I realized that you are a specialist. Could you please tell me how I can do Bokeh on a portrait with this camera because no matter how hard I try I can't. The focus at the back is always slightly blurry, and I want to make it very blurry. Would you explain to me. I watched all the Bokeh videos on KZbin, but it doesn't work with Panasonic Lumix DC-fz 82.

Hi Graham, My FZ82 has suddenly stopped displaying any picture on the screen. It’s black. The display still shows all the data, and it will show previous photos. But it now won’t photograph anything. I’ve tried resetting the camera. Any ideas?

I have two questions. First in the panoramic mode, is there any way to move the camera in different directions when you're taking a panoramic shot? And can you take a panoramic shot holding it vertically and horizontally? Also I'm curious if you're related to David Attenborough? You both look and sound alike, and are both very knowledgeable and detailed when you all are explaining things 👍
@GrahamHoughton123 жыл бұрын
You can use the camera in portrait mode to capture an image which has more height however it has to be moved left to right as in the landscape mode. Sadly I'm not related to the great David Attenborough but I thank you for the comment!

Hello Graham it seems that you are the guru for the FZ 80 Panasonic Lumix camera. I was wondering if you can help me with the situation I just encountered. I just purchased this camera and I’m going through the settings in the beginning they ask for the language and instead of picking English I somehow picked up Chinese. So I wanted to back out so I can now pick English as my language but I don’t understand anything because it’s in Chinese! Can you please help me Graham?

Thanks for your excellent videos on the FZ82 which I have recently acquired. I do have a question on the Single Area Focus which I use most of the time. After setting the location for the focus point I find that when I switch to the Viewfinder mode and zoom that from time to time the single area focus switches itself to the adjustment mode (highlighted box) and then if I do not quickly fix the spot again then the focus point will just jump immediately to the left side of the viewfinder. This is very strange and quite frustrating when I am trying to snap wildlife before it moves! Also this problem does not seem to occur in Monitor mode. So if you have any tip for resolving this then I would be extremely grateful. Dennis

You may be having the same issue as me. I set the focus point in the LVF mode and then when I'm shooting using the viewfinder, the focus point moves to the right and stays there. I now know why it happens but I haven't figured out a fix yet. Turns out, the LVF screen is still active even in viewfinder mode. So the focus point moves because a part of my face touches the screen! Usually my nose. How do I disable the touch screen feature when using viewfinder?
@dennismurray7032 жыл бұрын
@@thejrcitizens That certainly makes sense! One solution is to simply disable the touch screen focus function. Go to the Custom Menu (spanner-C) and look for Touch Screen. I did not want to do that so have developed a work around now that works for me when I am using the LVF for wildlife photography. I used the custom focus selection to create a small central focus zone which does not move at all with the LVF in use. To do that is tricky but you need to use the button on left side of cursor wheel on back to get into focus area then select the Custom option. I found it was best to download the full manual from Panasonic which covers this operation in detail. Good luck with either of these possible solutions.
@thejrcitizens2 жыл бұрын
@@dennismurray703 I did download the Manuel just yesterday. I will go through it and see which options will work best for my shooting style. I also disabled the touch screen for the time being and using the back button focus has made a difference and eliminated the frustration.

When I use any mode except auto, there is a bluish tinge visible on the viewfinder and photos. Why is this?
