Howdy, SIr. I purchased your great tome on the Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80/82 and it really helped me figure this gem of a 'cheap' camera out. Since some jacka** beat me up across the street from me last April 13th, while I was focused on keeping my baby in my possession while he kept on punching my right eye to such a degree it took 6-8 weeks for the damage to come down. But, another of similar ilk arrived and helped the first guy complete his mission of stealing my baby. So it took awhile to repurchase, then I landed on a sweet deal on one of these new-fangled 3-axis gimbal stabilizers that brings to direct attention the first fault that I have bumped into, the 25mm offset on the 1/4-20 tripod socket which presents great difficulty in Vortex mode especially, not to mention the nightmare trying to get the thing balanced when it is offset in such an insane manner. What sort of weird logic was on Lumix design team's mind to offset a tripod mount. I wonder how I never noticed this before. Do you have any vendors set-up so that I can order one from B&H Photo-Video? Thanks! PS. I cannot seem to get that mode to work where it is supposed to put up a cursor or something on there how to choose a color in the shot to keep while greying-out the rest. Is there some step that I am missing, Maestro?

Graham, I plan on shooting kitesurfing videos with this camera. You mentioned Focus Tracking in series 4 I believe. I am assuming that will work in video as well. Could you feature a moving target video, a car should work just fine, and go through the best settings for this or just a not on settings for this in comments would be great too. Thanks for your great series, one that every Panasonic FZ 80 owner should watch.

I’ve tried the things you showed in the video and I can’t get my FZ82 to show as good quality as shown in your video or the video Panasonic made on it. My most recent video on my channel was filmed with the 82 so that might give you a good idea of what it’s like

What make of variable ND filters are you using?

I only see four options for record quality while yours shows eight. FZ80 Is there another setting that unlocks more options?

Hi Graham. Love your vlogs. I am an amateur photographer, I have a Panasonic LUMIX TZ80. It’s lightweight & easy to use. I have rheumatoid arthritis so I can’t use heavy cameras due to the inflammation in my hands etc. I do a lot of wildlife photography & scenery but they are grainy photos when zoomed. I would love to be able to take pics of animals etc at a good distance but have a sharp clear image. Can you recommend any point & shoots that are better at sharper clearer distance images than the TZ80? Many thanks 🙏

Tracy, the problem is that point and shoot lens apertures get so small when the lens is zoomed that the camera needs to raise the ISO and hence the noise on the image. I understand your problem however I haven't really a recommendation - sorry

Graham....would the quality of this be good enough for shooting stock footage clips?
@GrahamHoughton12 Жыл бұрын
providing you don't use the full zoom extent and you use 4k and a tripod under good light you will get some very good video clips.

Im not seeing all these options under Record Quality. I only show four where you are showing two pages and a total of 8. Is there a setting I am missing on my FZ80? I show 4K 100M 30P, FHD 20M 60P, FHD 20M 30P and HD 10M 30P.... This is all I see. There are no other options? Do you know why?
