The Pandoras , Paula, Pierce Sheri "Walk Like an Egyptian" and "Straight Up" Karaoke Video

Paula Pierce, Kim, Shattuck and Sheri Kaplan Weinstein from the Pandoras went to a karaoke video studio and performed, "Walk Like an Egyptian", by the Bangles, and "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul. The Pandoras were mainly garage rock , new wave version. Only at the end did Paula change to kind of pop metal.

@metalmikeinoakland Rhino didnt promote the Pandoras at all. They should have picked a better song than Stop Pretendin for a video too. Also they didnt promote House of Freaks. Steve Wynn & Exene did albums for them too at that time Saw them both live. A lot of the songs that were never released from the following Pandoras album were really good too. I got them on a bootleg CD years ago(called Psychedelic Sluts!!!???) but they are on youtube with better sound. Speaking of Australia, Chrissy Amphletts whole output (except their us hit) was superb. She never went soft. Didnt get caught up in synths and big drums.

I'm glad that I clicked on this to find out what it was cus from the shortened description in the side panel it didn't say that it was Karaoke so I was fearing that they did it as a cover as part of their set which would have been totally lame but goofing on it for karaoke is actually hilarious....plus that hagstrom has the same body as mine (but different headstock) so bonus points for that!

Heard Paula being interviewed on KALX Berkeley in late eighties, and she was very lively. The dj who came on after the interview remarked being asked by Paula impromptu what size his penis was. It was just a joke (since women don't usually ask this of men ) , but I found it very funny he even mentioned it!

Oh shit! I didnt know Kim had passed on. She had a pretty popular band after the Pandoras. That is sad. I always liked Straight Up.I wonder if they were Bangles fans? Paula sounds great on these songs. She was a lot better than Joan Jett
