Typical of Flex to conflate the issue and try to change the narrative to suit his affiliation. ALL those whom have a direct affiliation to the game - managers , club staff , players AND refereeing personnel have to be held to the same level of accountability by the footballing authorities and those in the media. This is not currently happening and sadly these incidents involving Mr Coote are ,to a large degree , the direct result of such inaction . The whole notion of former players commenting on games for clubs they’re associated with should also be looked at. Being impartial is hugely important, not just as refs, but even as pundits. Carra and Nev constantly talk from their perspective and not from a neutral standpoint. Only reason Carra felt like Coote should be forgiven is because he PERSONALLY himself was forgiven. Refs and Pundits are the problem.

Coote's been on a few games where some dodgy decisions went against Liverpool but I don't know where this narrative that he was on the Everton - City game(with the Rodri handball) came from cause he wasn't on that game. But that being said, I would just rather the Premier League did away with the PGMOL & hired elite refs from across Europe cause the ref situation in the PL is just a circus at this point. I've always wondered how a guy like Jarred Gillet, who's widely known to be a Liverpool fan, can't be involved in Liverpool games(rightly so) but is allowed to ref other games in the league that can affect teams that are in direct competition with Liverpool. Someone like him should've never been brought over to the PL in my opinion.
