Dear Mr. Gueye I am a 74 years old Canadian. I speak French and English fluently. My husband of 23 years is Senegalese. I am learning Wolof with your videos online and your teaching method and structure helps me relate to the languages I already speak. I had the opportunity to visit Senegal in 2013 and 2018 when we travelled to Senegal (Tukkiwoon nanu Senegal). Prior to travelling in 2018, I memorized sentences from the US Peace Corps online videos, which are great but I had difficulty relating Wolof to the languages I already speak. Do you have other material available and/or recommendations that can help me continue learning Wolof when we hopefully return to Senegal for a visit “Inshallah”! Isn't it -oon and -óón as it changes because of vowel harmony so tukkiwóón and jàngiwóón but xamoon and gisoon?

Hi there. Thanks. I am sure about that but I do know that the past ending is -oon or -woon depending on ending. oo and óó are two different vowel sound patterns.

Hi there. Thanks. glad it could help. there are others such 'LA' emphasizing the object, 'A' emphasizing the subject or doer of the action, 'DA' often used in different kinds of descriptions (but not only), 'NGI' for the gerund structures, etc.

Amul solo. I would suggest a regular class if possible. But there are other alternatives such as online tutorials and other materials. Not sure what options would better meet your plans but wishing you all the best.
