Rich with symbolism, “The Path of Ghosts” reflects on democracy by exploring the unforeseen forces shaping our world.
The film thoughtfully explores the concepts of individual choice, collective responsibility, and the haunting presence of past decisions - all of which are central to the concept of democracy. "By portraying characters who are confronted with the consequences of their actions, the film invites viewers to reflect on the importance of participation, dialogue, and the balance of power in a democratic system," says filmmaker Hasti Setare Karimi.

These young visionaries were challenged to look beyond politics, delivering fresh, imaginative interpretations of what democracy can truly represent.
