Tech fans knew what was going to happen. Luckily for me I'm a year older than Pat, so I was able to see almost every one of his home games. 2015 was the year we knew he was something else. I've seen great QBs come through Tech, but Mahomes is just on another level. It's really a shame that he was with such terrible teams in college.

To all the young QBs out there watching this and learning I need you to remember one thing. DON’T JUST GO OUT AND DO THIS STUFF IN A GAME. Mahommes is a human cheat code. The source of that though is his base technique is amazing. He never has to think about doing the technically correct thing, and that helps him ad-lib on the fly. You try this stuff in a game or practice without having the fundamentals down I promise you’ll look terrible out there.

I wasn’t a doubter when the Chiefs traded up for him I just didn’t think he was gonna be this good. Oh and I wanted to say I’m not mad my Bills traded that 2017 1st round pick to go down. I know we could’ve got him but we still landed a really good Cornerback Tre’Davious White, and the following year we had our 1st round and KC 1st round to get Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds.

Hard to say how good Alex might've been, without that shoulder injury. I think it may have limited him ever since, and mainly because he was drafted to a team that wasn't very good or very good to QBs. Would've ruined a lesser man. But I still wonder how good he'd be, if not for the botched shoulder surgery. But the general impression from Chiefs fans was that Alex played with too little urgency at times. If it wasn't there, he didn't force it. Sometimes, though, it WAS there, but he didn't trust himself or the receiver to take the shot. Even a couple in game-deciding situations. "Really? You didn't take a shot at the 1st on 4th down, with 30 seconds to go?"

Mayfield's a clear cut above Manziel. I'm just not sure he's a crazy enough athlete to compensate for his physical shortcomings. Tarkenton was crazy athletic. Russell Wilson's not exactly a shrimp, but he's also able to power out of an arm tackle. Mayfield looks like he's relatively easy to bring down. But he gets the game, and he knows he's gotta get rid of that ball. It may just come down to how good a job Dorsey does building that team around him.
