The Pattaya bar rules that you need to know about when you visit!

The following guidelines have made sense in my visits to Pattaya (although some have been learned the hard way): 1. start with a bar far away from your hotel and work your way back (don't be parading girls past the bar beside your hotel because you BF'd the girl next door on the first night) 2. definitely one girl per bar when it comes to BF so choose wisely (unless there is an understanding otherwise) 3. don't get stuck on one particular girl as she may not be available every night 4. three night rule always! I've also had fun nights when I do the following; buy a lady drink for a girl you like and then tell her you are willing to buy lady drinks for one other 'friend/sister' in the bar but no one else. That way she chooses her 'friend' wisely and maybe it turns into something that could really be a memory later on in the evening.

Great advice Trev. You covered a lot of good points to help first-timers avoid conflict. Just one bit of advice from me for Newbies. - Do not get all hung up about "Guest friendly hotels" I honestly would never let a Bar girl know where I live. I also do save a bit of cash by getting a room for 1 adult. IF You are 100% just going to Pattaya for "Dancing in the sheets" I would just visit local Gentleman's clubs. They have an "Upstairs" and that's all I am going to say about it : )

A pal of mine loves to butterfly he comes for 14 days and has 14 different girls , what he does is takes his first girl from a bar several streets away from his hotel , second day takes a girl a bit nearer to hotel and so on ! I am so glad you answered that obvious question, “Why is okay for a bar girl to go with another person, but it is not okay for you to do the same?” It’s possible as you said, for you to return to the bar the next day and see the same girl you had been with the night before with another guy, and that’s okay for her, but if you decide to go with a different girl, they somehow lose face. My first visit to Club Fate I told the first girl to sit with me that I was a butterfly and proceeded to buy 3 or 4 girls a drink. Pointed out the 4 girls I liked and told them to sort out who was leaving with me that night and the next and so on. Did the same in Heaven Above. Sure I end up buying quite a few Lady Drinks but that is part of the fun. Played up to the mamasan by being just a bit cheeky, in both clubs as a way of getting them onside I had a ball and no problems what so ever. Whenever I walked in the door at either club the girls were happy to see me. Having watched this vid from Trev you have all the knowledge you need to have a blast. i would steer "away" from the following phrase: the girls always know a place to go. with a few weeks/days on the ground in pattaya or anywhere in thailand...you can plot/map out the short time places...there are not that many..some better than others. some "very" nice. for the time being i am in ecuador. if you do that here..of the "the girls have a room"...you could be very well (probably) met by her guys or her "greeting" committee...when you enter "that" special room she directed and told you about for your good time. or you pay much more for that room---and the "girls" the next day get a kickback/commission for that room "they" guided you to.

Last time I was there (2020) I was there for 18 days and I had 18 girls. Only one gave me a hard time , I just told her I was not looking for love and she let it be, I heard one lady down at beach road call me a butterly after a night together the day before but I just said whatever and went on with my evening. I went on many dates from Tinder, Badoo , Happn and it was way more exciting than picking up girls from the bar. And you could pick and choose from the best of the best. Highly recommend that!

I never. bar fine a girl from a bar I enjoy going to. The girls in the bars I frequent I treat as off limits, as if you take a lady one night the dynamic has completely changed once you return. The girl you take will latch on exactly as you describe. Trevor. If I see a girl I like in my travels I will speak to them- this can be in a bar, Big C, on the street... Thai ladies are easy to approach, easy to speak to and I can take a pass on any girl who arrives in a favourite bar.

Or is it more like, you only get to hold one girls attention at a time? The real question I have to ask is, what if I want to take both of those ladies with me when I leave? Is that even possible? Or is it circumstantial? If it is circumstantial, how rare is it? Furthermore, how will that effect the way the women treat me/view me, and will it change how other women at that bar view me? Sorry for asking so many questions, I just havent seem to found anyone explaining what its like to take multiple women out at once and I'm very curious about it, and when you were explaining the various dynamics of "losing face" I couldnt help but thinking, wow, it sounds like maybe there is no room for threesomes lol. I don’t understand the concept of a bar girl “losing face”. So if you bar fine Girl No. 1, enjoy an evening with her, go back to the same bar the next day, and then bar fine Girl No. 2, then Girl No. 1 loses face? But what if you go back the next day and can’t find Girl No. 1 because she’s just been bar fined by another guy? What are you supposed to do…wait patiently until she come back from being banged by another guy and then bar fine her again so she doesn’t “lose face”? What about me losing face knowing that the connection I thought had with Girl No. 1 going out the door as soon as another guy flashes some cash in her face?

Lots of good advice all explained in an easy to use format! I generally have a couple of bars that I like to go to in Pattaya and Bangkok. At those bars I don't bar fine anybody. Why? Well it's my bar to meet up with friends and watch sporting events or just to hang out at. If I do want to go and bar fine someone then it is at another bar. Then it's that girl and that girl only from that bar. Want to try something different? Go to another bar and bar fine someone but preferably not the bar next door or close by. Tired of girls pestering you at a bar? Tell them you drive a garbage truck back in your home country and drive a 20 year old car.

Absolutely brilliant video, good to hear it from the girls point of view and spot on with everything ( By way of backgroud I've just come back from my first trip to Pattaya but not Thailand.) Agree that the girls are there to make money for sure (but so is my vet). That in itself doesn't make them 'bad' people but you definitely need your eyes open as there are good / bad in all of us. (I'm friends with my vet but he still charges me) Also the girls have heard it all before from the customers, know that the two week (or night) holiday maker is unlikely to be coming back, probably inflated bits of their life story and so on. So back to the 'traps' .. First girl I took home finished the st, then wanted food (fair enough so did I), then wanted me to buy her clothes. It was cheap enough so I did - but I didn't go with her again. Unfortunately she worked pretty much opposite Buzzin Bar and was a bit peeved (lost face) when I walked by but didn't go with her again - so it was simpler for me to avoid that side of the road! (The day I did pop in you were away) Anyway lesson learnt - start from bars away from where you are staying. Similar with 'buy my friend drinks part' ' (which I did end up doing in some cases - and thanks to channels like this was aware of what was going on - and still did it!) Probably most sensible advice I could is be aware it's a business, don't get too involved too quickly and spend time with a few before you take it for longer (if that's your thing). Oh and in my case - after going slightly mad for the first couple of days (only 2 - really) broke all of the above by settling into a 13 day gfe with a girl who was unusually hassle free. Left most days about 12 (except for couple of day trips) and said meet again that night if I wanted (which allowed me free time for a massage, tourist stuff, shopping and so on) - it turned out to be a perfect fit - and with hanging around that long got laundry done, eat street food, they drove me around on their scooter and gave me money saving tips. (Take the bus not taxi back to Suvarnabhumi) Would she want more? Probably .. but is well aware that she has a job and not to expect the customers to come back. In fact that's the wrap up point - the girls really are a family and a protective of one another! George

Trev, I think a good topic for future would be bar/gogo etiquette. One thing that always annoys me is how customers treat each other in gogo's. One of my biggest pet peeves are those who like to 'steal' girls away from another customer. Their favorite move is to barfine on the sly a girl who is with another customer, or buy lady drinks and openly hit on a girl already sitting with another guy. These guys have such fragile egos that in order to boost their own self esteem they have to shyte on other customers. At the least have the common decency if you are so fixated on one girl for whatever reason, to ask the guy if he plans on barfining her instead of doing it behind his back. I have had multiple trips where I entered a gogo and saw my favorite with another customer and left them alone. Even did that in Soi 6 on one of my last days, went to a bar and saw my favorite with a customer so I quickly walked by without looking inside bar. I know the alpha males out there would ridicule people like me but I could care less what they think. I am most happy being a decent person and respectful towards others.

@@woodka04 It's much easier than you might think. Jomtien is nice and it's very easy to get around. The baht bus runs between city center & Jomtien in 10-15 minutes. Cost is less than a dollar! They also have BOLT cars...just like UBER which are SuperCheap! I always come "high season" which is Nov-Feb. I never go cheap on the hotel because even the most expensive is a deal since I come from So. California. You'll have a blast though!

I personally never really liked the girl bar scene. The minute you enter they come at you and it makes me feel uncomfortable to start rejecting them right off the bat whether I actually want to or not just to have some space. I prefer to be given time to sit down and have a drink and if I have an interested in one she would be the first to know. It's like when your stop to look at a menu at a restaurant and they rush out to try and seat you, I get it they need the business but all that does is make me keep moving on. I haven't been to a girly bar yet here because when I walk buy them the same thing always happens. The girls try and accost me the second I get by the entrance. Hence the reason I have always been a freelancer man I guess plus you don't have to get the bar involved in the transaction. Went to Nana Plaza last night and that worked out well because I grabbed a drink at the bar in the middle and had a chance to look around without being approached before I did anything.

Funniest thing I've seen in a big Pattaya bar is a couple of young lads wandering in and immediately ringing the bell without any idea what in entails. There followed all the girls coming to greet them and the lads getting increasingly bemused. Not long after the horror of the situation dawns on them. There followed the 3 lads pooling everything they had to get out of the situation. As for the swapping girls thing, yeah did that on my 1st couple of trips. It didn't go well. In fact even last week I had a situation where a girl I didn't even bar fine got arsey. Didn't particularly like her but she was aggressive and I bought her a few drinks as the girl I actually liked wasn't there. The next time I went back I was ownership stamped and struggled to get out from under her.
