Gotta complete a ritual to the Deus Ex Machina. Adeptus Mechanicus have some pretty good tutorials online. They're IT and religion so you can work through your tech problems while working through your personal problems. Convenient! Alternatively, just kick it once and call it a variety of creative expletives then swiftly recant and apologize profusely while telling it it's a good computer and you're very lucky to have it. Friend of mine works in hardware support so I got the know-how hook ups.

@@LeOneToyota staples, duct-tape, and the longest LAN cable you can find. Plug the cable in, then just run it along the floor/walls, using staples for the walls and duct tape for the floor. Make sure to cover the whole length in duct tape so nobody trips on it. I'd recommend hot pink duct tape, it really distracts from the cable noodle running across the floor. Guests ask "why is there so much pink?" which is an improvement over "why is there so much cable?" Make sure if you need to go from one side of the stairs to the other, to jump the cable over the stairs at around ankle level, that way you don't hit someone in the stomach or throat. Known issue on the stable branch for this distribution; it's fixed on nightly but that has another bug where the bootloader won't run from a cold start, which may be more or less important depending on if you switch off your computer. Also all files in the home folder have to be named 'a' or they corrupt on read.

alright you didn't hear this from me, but... if you plug an onion into a USB port and input the konami code, you'll open up a secret window. If you then type the entire bee movie script into this window, starting over every time it says bee of course, it will grant you access to Maets, Steam's mirror world version which is a dating application for games. if you can then pair up the game that's updating with a game that it enjoys, you may see the loading time go up by a whole 0/2%, depending on how the relationship turns out
