And, though I admire his ability to sing this way, I would also become bored to tears. I hope Dimash stays true to himself... singing many genres, and mixing genres. The thing with Opera fans is that they can be music snobs, sticking their noses up at any other music.

@@KfuglifI NEVER missed any of those. I watch them a lot. Please don’t assume anything about me. And please read what I I wrote again. Just so you know one of my careers was a radio deejay and my knowledge of pop probably far exceeds yours. Just so you know, I have seen Dimash since 2017, I have introduced his music to tons and tons of people, and I have attended his concerts when I can. However, there are certain genres that suit him better than others. El Amor En Ti is fabulous, but it is somewhat ruined by his Michael Jackson interpretation added to it. Some of the pop songs he writes are not as attractive and when they are in English, they really do not suit him as he matures as a singer. Dimash is always interesting, but he doesn’t always choose everything correctly. However, of course, he should experiment. Even Pavarotti didn’t choose certain crossover songs well. It doesn’t mean I don’t like Pavarotti. In fact there were tons of people who criticized the 3Tenors collaboration. So what? There have been singers, both Pop and Opera, that I have loved, who have been criticized by friends and colleagues. As I grew in listening to voices and expanding my breadth in music, I realized that the points that they made were actually correct in some cases. So what? However, as a multi talented artist Dimash needs to expand and from what I hear, pop isn’t where he needs to expand into because that becomes same old, same old even though a song is different. There are actually fantastic pop songs that have already been written that would give him the breadth and the scope to express his amazing talent and it would be fabulous to hear him sing some of those. I listen to music and singers with a very discerning ear and I am not afraid to say that somebody I adore and admire like Dimash, gets it wrong sometimes. You don’t have to defend, imagine you grasp what I am saying and then accuse me of not knowing what he does. Are you a pop snob? There are certain people I introduced Dimash to who don’t like him at all and I am still working on them to change their minds. Open yours up too. I will say it again - as Dimash matures, the absolutely gorgeous melodies and acting roles within the realms of opera is where Dimash should expand into. He should also, NEVER stop singing the beautiful, lyrical music of Igor Krutoy or other lyrical composers like Piergiuseppe Zaia and he should write his Khazak songs and sing them, because they are gorgeous.

Virtuosos is a talent show for young talents in classical music. Domingo and Dimash were part of the jury members. We saw 6 amazing young talents today and the performance of these 2 judges for part 1 of the final show. The show was aired on KZbin and also on Hungarian TV. It was a dream duet for all of us.

It’s not that the Opera community won’t accept or won’t embrace Dimash. The opera community has been waiting for Dimash to step into their enclave. He is wasted if he doesn’t do more opera. There are so many fabulous arias, gorgeous pieces, that are waiting for Dimash‘s interpretation. He would enrich his fans, and the opera community, if he decides it is not so boring after all. I mean, look what the three tenors did for Opera: their 1990 album is still the best selling opera album of all time, or actually, classical music album of all time. As Dimash has said, Pavarotti and Domingo brought him to music. I think he should bring many more young people to classical music through his great talent. This is certainly one of the most beautiful renditions of this aria I have ever heard. Domingo is still amazing, now doing baritone at 80+ years old. What a gift he has been to so many generations! I hope Dimash will be an inspiration to many more young people in this beautiful field of music.

Dimash, alături de Placido Domingo, pescuiește perle și ne împodobește cu ele ❤❤. În operă, ar fi avut o carieră strălucită, dar restrânsă pentru marele public și prea puțin pentru sufletul lui. Mi-aș dori să amestece chiar mai mult acest gen în spectacolele lui, ca pe un alt gen din cele multe, nu cred că publicul lui drag s-ar supăra. You do know that Dimash trained in Opera for many years & was offered a place in Astana Opera you? He didn't want to just sing Opera & wanted to do cross-over classical mixed with pop etc. Dimash can sing all genres. When Placido met Dimash he got really excited as he had seen Dimash through his grandson who discovered Dimash on YT. Dimash is a confidant & professional performer & was thrilled to be invited to sing a duet with one of his childhood heroes. Thank you 😊🙏💕

I love Dimash singing Opera, though I'm absolutely not into it😅. Isn't it amazing how he brings us to new music all the time? Now I find myself watching Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli sing this piece from 10 years ago. I can feel Dimashs excitement to achieve his childhood dream. And he sounds absolutely amazing! Honestly I dreamed about him singing something in completely baritone range and yet he amazed me so much. Rich and like silk his voice besides Placido didn't stand back one bit. They had mics for filming but I believe Dimash was as powerful as Placido and could fill this place like an Opera singer. It was to short 😂 i need more. Future duets like this please ❤.

Teacher Paul. A Dimash no lo aceptó la opera, Dimash es graduado de Belle Canto. Cuando él se graduó de la universidad la ópera de Astana ofreció contratarlo, pero Dimash lo rechazó porque no quería encajonarse en un solo estilo, después se graduó en pop y jazz. Así que su primera formación es en música clásica.

Hello! Did you know that Dimash had a col and was coughing when they sang the duett? It would have been even nicer if she wacn't sick ! This duett was created in Budapest, they were on the jury at the V4 talent show and Domingó asked them to sing togater Te song was performed after only one rehealsal. Aparentemente la admiracion es mutua. Fue Placido Domingo el que propuso que hicieran un duo. Conto que lo conocio por su nieto y que desde que lo escucho lo admiro. El resultado? No entiendo de musica o de opera....pero se me erizo la piel.
