One negative I've been struggling with on my beggar run is that lowborns lack good guaranteed perk groups. Particularly clarity. Most use medium armor perks which are a pain to optimize and degrade in combat. Resolve is always poor and rolling a banner takes a lot of money.

I can definitely see that, perks are not the easiest to come by witht these lowborns. I may do begger in the future, but like you say, I may have to do an edited version to bypass all the save scumming lol.

As far as I know the only broken retinue follower is the one that increases vision range, scout i think. Blacksmith is unavailable without a repair fix since it's broken in legends base mod. You probably know this, but assigning all brothers to a single task then changing them all to a different one is not the most efficient way of doing it. If you look on the right side of camping menu you can notice diminishing returns for each additional brother listed as percentages. It's a bit of a pain trying to manage that so doing it your way make sense. Just wanted to point it out.

All good, (i'll play around with the retinue for next season to make sure I'm comfortable so it doen't make problems, and grab the fix) I knew the task thing but i'm to lazy sometimes to do it perfectly lol. A couple lost in-game hours isn't something i'd worry about unless we do something like rush a legend location asap. (which I definitely don't think I'm good enough to do haha)

Two episodes in and I'm still trying to figure out, how a lute is a reach weapon. Play horrid music at them from afar?

Haha, this was a bug for sometime that the modders overlooked (because nobody uses lutes) So it was fun to hit people with guitars from 2 tiles away (we've learned how to weaponize bad singing/strumming lol) It took a while, but has since been fixed :)
