Yeah, my dad felt the same way. Me, on the other hand, I loved Strawberry Shortcake as a kid, but considering I'm of the female persuasion (and somewhat of a girly girl when it comes to 80's cartoons), I'm sure that doesn't surprise you.

It was the one thing about SSC that stuck with me and my sister forever. We even showed the Housewarming episode to our cousin a couple of years ago (she was I think four at the time), and she kept doing the Pieman's "yah-tah-tah-tah" thing.

These are from five Strawberry Shortcake specials: 0:05-1:57 is from "The World of Strawberry Shortcake" (1980) 1:58-2:39 is from "Strawberry Shortcake in Big Apple City" (1982) 2:40-4:34 is from "Strawberry Shortcake Pets on Parade" (1982) 4:35-6:16 is from "Strawberry Shortcake Housewarming Surprise" (1983) 6:17-8:12 is from "Strawberry Shortcake and the Baby Without a Name" (1984) There was a 6th special, but I didn't profile a scene from it, due to the fact my video was running long

Bro, I have the Strawberry Shortcake DVD "Big Country Fun", and this villian was in the 2nd story, he scared the shit outta me when I was little. Now I love this guy. Best Strawberry Shortcake villian ever.

He did reform at the end of the first special, "The World of Strawberry Shortcake" in 1980. In the SSC 1981 special, "SSC in Big Apple City," he reverted back to being a bad guy, and continued to be a bad guy throughout the rest of the specials. As he said in the special, "my evil conscience wouldn't let me remain a good guy." Hope that helps.
