This layout works perfect for a multi effect pedal! Just a thought: What’s the likelihood of making this system into an auv3 plugin for iOS devices? I’ve moved most of my setup onto my iPad, it would be dope if it could be integrated into that system digitally. Wonderful work on the pedal!
@birviva Жыл бұрын
Perfect basic layout! I like the approach of how to access the shift button for many presets! Something I was wondering: Could you change the order of the saved presets, to make a easy sequence for a stage performs for example?
@ikestoddard2458 Жыл бұрын
Freaking BRILLIANT!!! I have been playing guitar over 40 years and never seen this kind of thing.

great design; most interesting pedal since Meris released the LVX. Need to hear more, but so far, the sound of the reverb algos seems rather underwhelming; and I would want 128 presets. Everything else about this, including the price, is fantastic.
@andrewhuang Жыл бұрын
@@birviva To load a preset you select the one you want and then hit the Bypass footswitch (ie. the active preset doesn't change as you're scrolling through). So you are able to load them in any order you want, but if you want the least amount of scrolling for a particular order of presets unfortunately there is no quick way to change the saved order. If you have a free slot you could move things by saving them to different slots and saving over ones you've duplicated, or, presets can be dumped to a computer and organized there (and extras stored).

You literally made the pedal that I tried to build with several pedals and midi stuff, and it didn't work well and it was so expensive. In the end I had to go back to the computer and do it there. So...Thanks, I love you ❤. Greetings from Mexico

Andrew, I love that you make things for people. Liike human being people. Not money, not the most advanced music nerd (although wouldn't be uset if you did), but people. Like, This design is made for people who love music, and you've filtered it down to something usable. It doesn't seem finicky. There are two guitar pedals I want to get in my life (because I'm poor as heck), this Ghost guitar pedal, and Microcosm. I say it often, but you are very inspirational for me. Watching your videos really makes me want to be creative in so many aspects. I get a little bit more hope when I consume your content. A small light in a sea of confusion~

I’ll be honest my immediate thought was “why would you ever want to order it with the distortion block last”, but with the distortion low and the bit crush that actually works pretty nice. Maybe I’m hearing it wrong but it seems like the compression on the distortion is pretty minimal because the reverb still sounded pretty wide post distortion/crush?

As the knobs don't turn back when you leave modulation or shift mode.. how do you work with the wrong visual information? E.g. delay is set to +50%. Then you add modulation to -25%. If you exit modulation mode, the delay knob shows still -25% although the delay is set to +50%>

The brightness of each LED is a guide to the parameter value. I will say in practice I find it’s few enough parameters that I am only concerning myself with the knob markings when using them to set a given parameter - otherwise I either have them already sounding the way I want, can remember where they were, or can easily adjust them to whatever new value I want

Cool pedal, way more interesting than most guitar stuff...BUT... if you don't mind using software, you can do all this for free with VCV or Cardinal, with way more modulation options. I've been doing modular guitar effects for 3 or 4 years now and I'm nowhere near exhausting the possibilities (badly, mainly! 😂) Also, I genuinely had almost exactly the same idea in about 1996, but unfortunately I was too crap at electronics to implement it! I wanted something with filters, guitar effects like phaser/flanger, and synth modulators like LFOs/envelopes etc. Even then, it wasn't new because the band Throbbing Gristle built a similar device in the 70s. Anyway, this is way better due to advances in technology. Nice trainers too!
