I also disagree with Andy on the Vic thing. I genuinely believe there was a sincere relationship forming between the 2, but Oz understood in that moment just how much he cared about Vic right back and how that would compromise his long-term goals. If he didn't give a shit about Vic, he would just let him live and exploit him for his undying loyalty. But he cared about him too which made Oz vulnerable and he couldn't let that stand in his way again (especially right after the whole thing with his mom).

Yeah it wasn’t outta nowhere. I mean the fact that Oz rather have his mother’s finger cut off than admit that he killed his brothers to save her. It shows that Oz’s lust for power outweighs his love for his own family and friends.

There is a look Oz gets on his face when Vic calls him family. It changes everything, and makes Oz realize he cares about Vic too, and that’s a weakness. That’s when he says, “Ya know I can’t take you with me this time,right?” It’s his explanation and apology to Vic, his convincing himself he has to do this to keep the position he’s about to get, and his need to have no attachments besides his mental image of his mom that is proud of him versus his real mom who no longer wanted to suffer her devil son who murdered her beloved other sons. 😊

Oz definitely cared for Vic, if his mom didn't have the incident and was still talking and living regularly I don't think Oz would have done what he did. That loss of his mom in a normal fashion made Oz think "Having people I care about makes me vulnerable" which imo is going to lead to his ultimate demise, he's gonna be in a situation where if he still had Vic he could've made it out, completely a theory but I truly believe Oz will reap what he has sown. I also truly believe Oz did care for Vic

Also, the moment in the club when he let him walk away from the life and go to L.A., to us, it was a moment of true love and trust from Oz but from Oz's worldview it would have been a massive moment of weakness letting such a massive loose end escape his grasp.

Andy seems to have not taken on the full context of why Oz killed Vic; he really did care for the lad, but he realised that his enemies has used those close to him to almost bring him down, so he needs to remove ANY possibility of that happening again.

My explanation for why Batman didn’t appear is he didn’t consider Oz a threat, which he makes clear in the movie. Now that Oz is the “king” of Gotham, Bruce will come after him, which I think they set up with the bat signal lighting up.

9:28 - Disney absolutely does NOT own Batman or the rights to calling a series Batman. DC (owned by Warner Bros.) have long been careful and weird about having a version of their superheroes in films and television at the same time out of some weird fear of confusing their audiences. They did the same thing with Smallville, Gotham, Arrow, Flash and other of their live action shows. It’s some weird thing about keeping especially the Trinity characters in their best light/productions, and not confusing audiences with too many actors playing the same character at the same time. :/

Really gotta disagree with Andy about Vic. First of all, this wasn't the only choice in the finale that showed how Oz was truly an evil person, he would've let Sofia kill his mom rather than accept killing his brothers so that just goes to show you how he's always the number 1 person in his life but her mom is a close second as well as being a liability for him. I think he actually had a genuine connection with Vic and realised he would be a second third and he just didn't wanna deal with a another possible weakness, he always comes first so he killed him off to avoid any future problems just like he did with his mom.

Sofia definitely shoved the food in her mouth like that as a power move. She looks around the room and sees all the people looking at her and whispering so she decides to give them a real spectacle to gawk at, thus signaling to the room that she's aware that they're whispering abut her while also taking control of the narrative they have of her. power move. I don't remember her eating like that later but if she does I would say it's because she wants the room to know that she's a little bit dangerous at all times and also that she's not going to conform to their mob gender expectations.

Oz killing Vic brings home the entire thesis of this show, and it would’ve honestly been a betrayal if this character to grant Vic a special exception. Oz is a smooth talking sociopath who will destroy any soul to reinforce his own self image. Vic breaks his new self image as this godfather character mingling with the elite. Therefore Vic has to die. There’s nothing throwaway about this decision
