Great first episode. I didn't expect so much humor. Penguin's mom was interesting. One minute she seems to have alzheimers, the next she seems super cognizant. I wonder what kind of medication she has to take. In the TV show Gotham, Penguin also had a mother that he loved very much. Listening to Penguin talk, he sounded a lot like Tony Soprano. Have you watched The Sopranos? Have you watched Gotham? Have you seen the Dolly Parton movie 9 to 5?

He was waddling before the Batmobile chase. It's not super noticeable, but it's there. Remains unknown if it was an accident or if he was born this way.

Now this is quality, those Agatha episodes. I don't know, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, it had cringe dialogue, bad acting at times, and pointless scenes, but this? The acting, dialogue, score, visuals, storytelling, atmosphere, and even the cinematography, of which I was scared as Greig wasn't doing it, but it was everything amazing. Incredible pilot, I loved it. I see this show getting nominated for Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Directing, etc. And this is a miniseries, so it won’t have a second season. And this episode showed how smart Penguin is, how he talked his way out of situations, and how he planned ahead. Impressive. And Vic cut Alberto's finger and put "Payback," and Penguin gave the ring to Salvatore, so yeah, they most likely thought it was the Marconi family's. 27:08 Alright, you got it. And there's another confirmed spin-off in development, but we don't know yet from which character. I saw rumors about Two Face, but nothing confirmed. I would love one of Catwoman or Two Face and having Batman for a show. I don't know how it would feel, but Bruce being so close to Harvey, they could use Pattinson for Bruce scenes with Harvey.

You sure wrote alot But it would be easier if you just said "I dislike agatha because it's queer and I love the penguin because it's straight" It's easier Personaly, I love both shows and my distain for the right wing comunity isnt what will make me dislike a good show like the penguin. Thats the diference between our comunities, we can apreciate a show even when its filled with straight characters, you cant do the same the other way around.

@@アキコ2003 To a different person, I would've told you that you're right, as there are many others that are homophobic and use the word "woke" for everything, not a white male lead, but this comment doesn't work for me, buddy. I'm not homosexual, but I am not homophobic, I have a gay best friend and other friends with different sexualities, lol. I'm a filmmaker and screenwriter student, and my comment is just based on the cringe dialogue, boring characters, bad acting, etc. The Penguin is amazingly acted, written, and directed, it has incredible cinematography, score, storytelling, etc., everything about it is incredible, that's the only difference. I can't enjoy something that isn't that well written, like Agatha. So stop assuming you know everyone and start throwing dumb accusations.

If you are a film student, you should know that not every TV show and movie needs to be a masterly written masterpiece like breaking bad or midnight mass, some shows can be watched and appreciated by them being fun and relaxing shows to watch like the show friends, mandalorian, etc.. I have never seen people complain about the mandalorian, a simple fun show, the same way people complain about agatha and other queer shows. Guess why?
