Having Red Hood this early in just Year 2 of Bruce Wayne being Batman don't make sense. Bruce has to meet Dick Grayson first and that would take around 3-4 years until Dick decides to go on his own and become Nightwing. Then Bruce meets Jason Todd and makes him the next Robin. That would take another 3-4 years until Jason gets beat up by Joker and then he turns to Red Hood. That would take about 8 years after the events of The Penguin before we see Red Hood lol!

I agree. I’m not saying everything under Lucas film since George sold them to Disney has been a dumpster fire. There has been some really good stuff, some stuff that was OK and some stuff that was just terrible. But I do think that they should either recast them or do a CGI animated show like they did with The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels because Kathleen Kennedy blew it by not having the skeleton of a story in place before they started making the sequel trilogy. I do think the Star Wars fans definitely deserve some stories with Luke , Han , Leia , Lando, Chewy, R2, And 3PO together. Making it up as you go along, especially after the disappointment of the prequels, and the backlash from the prequels were so bad that two of the actors had to go into therapy due to harassment from the fans and even a decade after the last prequel movie, George Lucas was still receiving hate male to the point that he wanted to sell Lucas film……. like every precaution should have been made to make sure that the sequel trilogy sticks the landing. It really feels like they had a 30 minute meeting where they decided what was the worst thing about the prequels and they decided that it was too much use on CGI so that’s the only thing they fixed. I love the force awakens by itself, and I even like the new characters that we got introduced to, but you talk about a trilogy where things just happened for the sake of happening and some cases because it had to because the previous storytelling was so bad you put them in a position to keep the story moving. You just had something happening because it happened is terrible. they had a shot to actually have the original cast together again in a scene and they didn’t do it. I knew going into the sequel trilogy that you do have to have a new cast kind of be the heroes to pass the baton. It would be completely different if the sequel trilogy was made when the actors 10 or 15 years older like let’s say they did it in the late 90s then yes you could do a story where they’re the heroes again but when everybody’s in their 60s and 70s, kind of have to have someone else there so they can be the heroes so 20 years later they can pass the baton. But for crying out loud the fact that that was never even a thought to get them all together again yes the fans are owed some stories with that group recast them or do an animated series.

11:09 I think Oz keeps his mom alive out of spite. He gave her everything (fancy penthouse, money, power, etc.) he promised her except kill her when her disease went beyond the point of no return. After his mom literally calls him the devil, and says she never really loved him, Oz’s feelings get hurt and cuz Oz is super petty, he decides to keep his mom alive out of spite. Like “look at all this wonderful stuff I promised I’d get you that you can’t even enjoy now.” So I don’t think he cares about his mother at all

Nope. He doesn’t have a point. John’s opinion is heavily biased because he doesn’t like Ridley Scott films. Almost every video he makes features a second of two of him bashing Ridley. Unlike you, i’ve actually watched Gladiator 2 and can say it’s very entertaining. In fact, I plan to watch it again when it is officially released. As I said before, just because a sequel isn’t as good as an earlier film in the series it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value or shouldn’t have been made. I suspect most of Rocha’s weird takes are simply said for attention. During this same episode he says: no one over 40 should be allowed to write a Star Wars. I'm not saying don't make the movie, I'm sure it's entertaining, but calling it Gladiator II is just dumb (except for the IP name recognition, which is probably why they called it that.) I feel that he could've made a popcorn movie about Gladiators without making it a sequel to a way better film. The Penguin finale was awesome, especially when that bat signal goes up at the very end. I agree with Rocha, I don't think Vic is actually dead. He could be just passed out. If he is dead, then that's all the more reason he should've gotten on the bus with his girlfriend, but if he had done that, then Oz would've been killed and there'd be no show. If Vic is alive, then I'm curious what he'll do next season if there is one. I don't think he'll be Robin either, though. Also, I kind of wish they had the younger actress doing those flashback scenes, but I get what they were doing, so it's fine. I'm excited to see Sophia and Selina team up, assuming that's what'll happen Batman 2 or Penguin season 2. As for Saturday Night, I'm glad you liked it. I wanted to see it when it was in theaters, but I didn't get a chance. I'll get to it eventually. By the way, if I may offer a couple of corrections, Cindy Crawford's daughter's name is Kaia Gerber, not Kara and that movie Cindy did was called Fair Game, not Fair Play.

Bringing Vic back in a Lazarus pit would be WAY too fantastical for this Universe IMO. Have to agree that there's no shot of him coming back to life. Can see them doing something more psychological in nature where Oz starts hallucinating Vic being alive again. Maybe The Hatter has more potent stuff than the dirty old hippy Dr. Bloom's stuff. Part of me still thinks that Dr. Rush was merely a figment of Sofia's imagination on the outside- that Julian was only real in that last scene of the episode when he brings her mail.. Oz doesn't even wear the tophat ironically. He thinks it makes him look high class, and maybe he forgets about "the little people" along the way now that he's such a big shot. Being on top may go to his head. Perhaps he had no time for the leader of Wonderland Gang, or he doesn't know who Jervis AKA The Mad Hatter really is yet, because most of his small gang's turf is over in Robbinsville- not in Gotham proper. Maybe The Hatter was wearing a ridiculous tophat around first, rocking topcoats and tails as part of his weird "thing", and it oddly drives Jervis a little mad that Oz wears a tophat now lol. It's alright that Sofia is totally bonkers and only hallucinating that Dr. Rush was there with her most the time... All the best people in Gotham have at least a touch of madness to them

I absolutely, positively, DISAGREE with Rocha. You don't need young blood in Star Wars, you need COMPETENT people behind the scenes. You have young people there, but instead of making good SW, they're too busy pushing some type of agenda that caters to a small fanbase. The Acolyte is an example of that. Who wrote Andor? Who directed that? I'm sure it was a mix of old an new. The old fans are still relevant. Those are the ones buying merch, going to the theaters numerous times, etc, when it's good, quality stuff. Anyone from the OT to the PT should be the ones you kind of appease to as well as a newer crowd. Force Awakens was a good mix of the old and new and brought EVERYONE together. Obviously, that wasn't the only reason. Star Wars needs a complete overhaul, and it has to start at the top. How many years has it been? And it's still the same old song and dance. They should have just focused on Andor, nothing else. I would watch five freaking seasons of Andor, it's so well written, acted, and directed. After that? I'd say give Star Wars a good long break, at least a few years. When they return, they need to take a look at 90's Star Wars media (comics, books, video games, etc) and take some inspiration from that. A Dark Forces show about Kyle Katarn? Yes please. A show based on the Droids comic starring R2 and 3P0? I'll have that as well. If they're feeling brave, maybe Knights of the Old Republic, but be very careful and get it right. If they'd do Boba Fett correctly, I'd take that as well, but no more of this "Sheriff of Tatooine" crap. I want morally ambiguous, dangerous Boba Fett who is actually being a bounty hunter, taking on the biggest baddest criminals in the galaxy. Let Star Wars grow up and stop making it kids stuff.

Number one, Jason Todd was beat to death with the crowbar and then the building he was in blew up. Victor was hit over the head with a crowbar one time to knock him out. Jason wasn’t killed from one shot to the head by a woman smaller than him. If they do decide to bring him back, I think it’ll be something like the scene starts with him laying on the shore and his eyes open with him coughing because penguin just didn’t finish the job. I don’t see him coming back as a red hood based on he got hit with a crowbar three episodes earlier that didn’t kill him versus someone getting killed with a crowbar and then blown up and brought back to a Lazarus pit. I mean, if we’re gonna use that logic, let’s just say any of the 50 people who were shot dead in this series then one of their relatives is going to be Batman because his parents were shot with a gun and there’s about 40 to 50 people in this series were shot with a gun it feels like so that must mean one of the relatives is Batman why else would they kill them with a gun?

Dude, one of the greatest things about Star Wars is that it touches people of all ages. My entire family are Star Wars fans, the youngest fans being six and seven years old and the oldest ones being in their late 70s. It’s one of the cool things about Star Wars. How did he get a job doing this?!?!? Why am I putting on a hardhat and work boots and working in rain and snow when he’s indoors with these opinions getting paid for it 😂

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding the entire story point of Vic. Penguin killing him was Penguin killing the last bit of humanity that he had left. It was symbolic, but Vic is also very much actually dead. If he came back that would be like Penguin’s humanity coming back and they’re obviously not going to do that.

Vic coming back would ruin the whole progression of the show and Penguins villain arc. You’re supposed to feel devastated by it because Oz is a straight up villain. That’s what you’re supposed to take away from it. You want Batman to come in and beat the snot out of him now. We all liked Vic and we were rooting for him and somewhat for Oz, but not now. The idea of him coming back, as Robin no less, is absurd. Vic killed a guy too… there’s no way they would make him Robin after that. As for why Oz keeps his mom alive, it’s not for spite , it’s for his need of validation from her. He needs it so much that he went against her own wishes of wanting to be let go instead of living like that. That was made clear in the episode itself when he would rather her lose a finger than tell the truth about what happened to his brothers.

As far as time codes go, if you do spoiler episodes, please use time codes. Any other episode, leave it up to us. I didn’t do my normal ritual of watching the show live because I was three episodes behind on Penguin and though I wasn’t jazzed about watching the show, I was still curious to see how it played out. It’s just a really dark show and I’m not into that kind of sht, but I was still curious. Now I have to go clean my brain with happy soap because yuck. You made me watch that. Smh It was like watching The Good Son but Macaulay Culkin’s character lives and succeeds. No thank you. It’s not even a matter of if it was well made. Of course it was well made. It’s just a yucky story. I’m good. I wanna love Batman again. Give us fantastical Batman again! Please, James Gunn! I have faith in you.
