Great origin story for Sofia Falcone. Carmine Falcone being the Hangman and framing his own daughter is unbelievably cold-blooded. He makes Tywin Lannister seem like Father of the Year. Alberto's loyalty to Sofia makes me hate Oz for killing him. Satisfying ending with Sofia taking out those who betrayed her. Very Godfather-like.

The fact that Carmine strangled Selena's mom and girlfriend in The Batman gave me the impression that he was on some Ted Bundy shit. Sure, they were both liabilities, but why make both of their deaths so personal? Why the intimacy? Why not just give them the Adriana treatment? This show confirmed my suspicions. He's more than your garden variety Gangster. Best Ep of the Season so far. It was so good that it retroactively made Alberto slightly less unlikable. His loyalty to Sofia is redeeming quality.

I was mad they cancelled the Arkham series. Now I'm like, "Ok..that's enough Arkham for me" It's still a great episode, love the show but I don't wanna be in there anymore.

I really feel like this episode cemented Sofia as the character you should root for, on paper. That way Penguin can go full out villainous. Sofia was done dirty and she deserves to enact her revenge. She deserves to kill everyone that turned her in to what she is now, and that includes Penguin. However, I think we'll see that not working out at all as Penguin basically triumphs by being the one out of our three characters that survives (Vic, Sofia, and Oz). All brakes are off now, its Penguin vs the two crime families to see who comes out on top.

What if Alberto was actually The Hangman? Sofia was playing hide and seek with Alberto when she found her mother. What if Alberto found her first and maybe he even saw the murder? Oz killed him awfully quickly. He is used to people belittling him but he really seemed to want to kill Alberto. It seemed more personal. Also, Alberto seemed to feel like it was his fault that Sofia got put away.

That’s interesting. I kept waiting for her to find out that Alberto had betrayed her as well because I think that would have been so devastating. But by the end I think Alberto was basically “innocent” pretty much because he wasn’t that bright.

BEST episode so far, of course it had be after Oz says he wants to show Sofia how to "trust" him. She shouldn't have talked to him that way, condescending, even for that one time, she did defend him before, "don't call him that!" The Arkham stuff was EXACTLY like what it should have been, creepy fucked up shit, and all the actors killed it. Magpie was a lesser Batman villain in the comics, for those who didn't know, here it seemed like she would turn out more demented, I ended up feeling bad for her, R.I.P. don't get on Sofia's bad side. OZ, you are fucked, and poor VIc. This al reminded of two past shows, Smallville in what happens with LIonel and Lex, and LOST, in that the flashback completely upturns your perspective of a particular character and makes you feel for them, at the same time making you root for their current fuckery and hope they win. She is now the protagonist, Oz the villain. I expect more turns and what a great fucking show.

Totally two different show. The Penguin is much more in-dialogue with "prestige tv shows" like The Sopranos, Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, etc.

Good episode probably like the second worst or worst of the season so far. Almost everything that was shown about her backstory was stuff we already knew through hints in the first 3 episodes. Imo they should have spent alot more time in Arkham and gave us more characters
