We all have a skill called hand eye coordination and we can really benefit from it in golf. Delivering the club to the ball correctly is a skill we all can learn.
Online lesson are now a possibility on Skillest: skillest.com/a...
Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of the legends that are often misunderstood.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn't always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

That is sooo true! It is and always has been about eye hand coordination. Almost every bad golfer I watch lifts his/her head to see where the ball has gone BEFORE they have hit it! It’s epidemic with golfers. For some reason it’s extremely difficult to stay focused on that nonmoving ball? Nonetheless, that is what has always been the number one problem with golfers. And for those “Pro instructors” out there that claim you do not have to watch the ball I suggest they try to hammer a nail without looking at the nail! Watch a professional golfers intense focus on the ball the entire swing. They do not look away from the ball until the swing is almost over. They stay down staring at where the ball was after they hit it.

So true. I hit my most accurate sand wedge shots , almost without fail, by keeping my right foot well behind my left, not level . Yet i have not tried what you have suggested with my other clubs as i follow the taught convention. Will be trying it for sure. Thanks Marcus.

Thank you Marcus for taking the unothodox way of coaching. Really helpful in having the notion of hand eye co-ordination, about others sports where the player needs to 'react' to the ball's position and path. Unless you you are a closet driving range player, those who prescribe 1 inch forward 2 inches this and that with what club, and all those angles at top of the swing, compress the juice by lowering and this and that really dont help when you are on a course...... hand eye co-ordination, know the circle of speed.. glad Marcus you also say NOT EASY... useful stuff as usual

It’s refreshing to hear a conversation like this one and one that makes sense How many times have we gone to the range and the first few balls are not good but then the eye hand hook up comes and we start hitting pretty good If we would stay with just that moment we could have a good time playing but then we begin to add all the mind traps into our swing Body position…ball position…aligning so on and so on Now…all that is needed but that would all fall into place when we would just hit the ball Our bodies would automatically adjust just like that kids did after he got his hookup up See the ball hit the ball Good vid

First of all I hope that you are progressing well with your battle with cancer I have a couple of things to say about your teaching First of all a friend of mine said that he was watching me from a distance through his range finder. He said what stood out the most about my swing now is that it looks so simple. The next thing that I find is that I do the best when I initiate my take away with my right shoulder. I pull it back and up as far as I can. And last but not least. In regards to my release. It feels like the the heel of my right hand is actually leading my down swing. I am 66 years old and I play golf right handed. I'm not sure if you analyze videos or not. Let me know. Thanks Patrick.

Hi Patrick. Thanks for trusting me to be your guide. I am doing a little better everyday and will do an update soon and open up skillest for online lessons again. Feelings are really hard to analyze but if the ball is behaving the way you want, keep doing it. I like the take away with that pull in the beginning. Let's keep fighting for what we want. 👍

With best wishes for your good health! You have done wonders for my golf, thank you...a small question, if you have the time or inclination.... Hitting a draw with my irons seems to give me a big bounce and it doesn't stick to the green. Nice problem, but should i go for a fade with the short irons? Thanks again
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 4 ай бұрын
Hallo my friend. I don't use a fade to get more height on a shot but it all depends on swing speed. A slower speed can still generate stopping power with a fade but maybe not enough with a draw. I would start with height. Watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp3CZ6GFbKqbpc0si=xdudyeV4aKBEwKhe

Good stuff. Just noticed that except for the one way forward. The ball was generally speaking right under your clavicle notch, or another way to view it ,would be facing your clavicle notch.You instinctively adjust the upper body at address to accommodate that. Not saying anyone should focus on that for ball position, just noticed it.

Marcus , I caught a video where you had the driver teed up high and more in the center of your stance , and then I seen it more forward . What do you recommend , I usually hit up 3 degrees , but I am going to now after seeing your tee's . I want to get up to 6 or better . Just like to know what is best optimal ? Your video's have broke the code for me . I am swinging so much better and my PW is now my train for speed club . What a difference this has made . I played a lot of competitive baseball , and allowing my left arm to break , just unleashed my speed , that I always knew I had . I was trapped in keeping the left arm straight as I could syndrome . It held me back big time . I am free to release out now with lots of speed . Have a blessed day and an even better tomorrow . Cheers

Hi. It's not the ball position that gives you more or less uphill strike on the ball. The key this is release timing. Watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWK9o35rodp0ecUsi=k1BWTlGX0WPk-k5s or kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4LMlKyuiK-diqMsi=bh6m4QhaocyP-Fi9

Have you done a video about your feet -- how they move as you swing through? It looks like both your feet both rotate to point more towards your target. It looks like you rotate your lead foot with the heel down when hitting an iron, and more on your toes after hitting driver. I'm recovering from a strained knee -- not caused by golf, but it affects my golf swing.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 6 ай бұрын
I can only do videos that talks about things that I control. My foot work just happens and are a reaction to what I'm trying to do with the club. My feet move completely different when I hit driver and irons and nothing I can't control. I would recommend that you try to leave it alone and let it happen.

You can move the ball forward a bit but again if you move it to far forward it will make it very hard to swing from the inside. Watch this about the driver: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJunk3eMm7ued5Isi=WIezlOI0slpNXyOX
