I would prefer if the champion kept his title in case of a tie. If you can't take the championship in classical you don't deserve the championship.

Ding does not deserve to retain the title. His groveling strategy is pathetic. He does not try to press even in the games where he is better. It is an utterly spineless performance and painful to watch. In fact, I only watch the recaps now, as those are much more interesting than the live games themselves.
