I've added 3 bedrooms inside the compound connected to the main base and also 3 gatehouses connected to external tc's which also block the raiders to grief you. Base is pure beast! Thanks a lot for the video man

Only problem, the freehands were fine on a building server, decays on a regular server even when connected... Also, with the last honeycomb, unfortunately cant fly around like that on a normal server and should just do it as you honeycomb normally so you're not struggling to honeycomb that part.

doesnt decay on any server, if it does its an issue on your end, and id always reccomend using twig as scaffolding to get around

Something I didn't realize is the placement highth of the freehand foundations has to match the foundations coming off the base, makes it a lot harder if you want it exact.

On 1st stage you can probably add windows to the loot rooms to protect the core from getting raid by outside

if you want to make this into a starter, when your getting everything down, hold off on lootrooms add a t1 furnaces etc. until you have the mats to keep building

or u could turn the first jump up into a jump up with furnaces, by getting rid of the triangle and placing 3 furnaces in the corner u can jump on it and up into ur 2nd floor

Unfortunately the free hands will not work on console, as they’ve got it that if the foundation does not click to another foundation, you will not be able to wall up. You can get the foundation in the vicinity, but won’t be able to do anything with it or the ones neighbouring it.

I’m on console and I like using the Tommy + a laser sight bc the Tommy has a really thin iron sight and the laser reduces the weapon sway for that pixel perfect placement

Hey man, I was a bit curious about something. I've been trying to get my gf to play Rust with me, but she absolutely hates doing tight jumps and having a lot of "clutter" (effective use of space) in the bases I build. Hates doing weird jump ups and doesn't care for crouching around constantly when we're in our base etc. Do you have any recommendations for bases that have decent open floor space while still being secure that a duo can manage to build+upkeep? I really liked how open the middle circle of this base stayed throughout the build, but it is probably a little too costly to build for just us and I know she would get frustrated at the jump ups. I'm honestly fine giving up a little security to build something a little more open, as long as its not bad enough to get offlined night 1 or something lol.

only way to get around jump ups would be to use a ladder hatch which will bring the raid cost down by alot and you will probably get offlined just tell her its part of the game jump ups are a minor inconvenience idk why she is making such a big deal about it lmao
