We sell and use these cans and yes they work better than most. If I had to complain about anything it would be the size. I'm surprised at how many people tell me they add a 2.6 oz bottle of oil to a full can of fuel, yet the can is 1.25 gallons. We mark the one gallon level with a sharpie at the clear window.

Glad you back them in a full time professional setting mate!

I have 2 or 3 of those. They work well. Some of the plastic tanks (not these) come with spouts that are horrible in every way. After replacing with aftermarket simple spouts, life is good again.

Any gas can that requires you pull on this bit, twist that bit, push that bit over there, hold your tongue at the right angle, stand on one foot and always face the same direction is... *G*A*R*B*A*G*E*

@@VintageEngineRepairs This one is better. Tuff Jug Utillity Jug, With Cap At Spout - 5 G
@VintageEngineRepairs6 ай бұрын
@catchmg1950 they’re not good for handheld engines, you have to push down on the spout to release fuel and that moves the machine around and spills.

Hi Tom! I use an old-world gas can that is showing its age, but I don't like most new cans because they don't have the attached spout. I need it to fill my rider.

Thankfully here in Canada we don't have to be restricted by that BS. All my Jerry cans have vents.
@VintageEngineRepairs6 ай бұрын
We don’t here in Australia either, no need for a vent, just push the button lol.
@alanm89325 ай бұрын
I use jerry cans. I'm puzzled as to why you would want a vent? You want it to be fully sealed to stop the fuel evaporating. Are you talking about a vent to prevent glugging when pouring?
@kirkwalsh19325 ай бұрын
@@alanm8932 yes, venting for proper pouring.

Rust... I have filters for that. Cheap plastic breaking down [all on its own] when you can least afford it? Garbage, on the road - especially some of the new ones that seem to require 3 hands to dispense fuel. So I have chosen to stick with steel. I keep a 5 gallon can with something in it at all times [at least a gallon], do not store on concrete without something under it for protection, and I treat fuel in it with carb defender. Should it need rotation if it hangs about 4 or 5 months [I fill only with ethanol free], then it all goes in my truck before I refresh the contents and re-treat. It helps to have a temperature stable environment like a basement for best results - stations keep their tanks underground not just for space considerations.

A person just needs to get used to the spout. The gas will stay fresh for longer because it is deprived of oxygen.

These are fully sealed :) they don’t let air in or out. I keep this inside and you don’t smell it!
