Hailey, I met my husband playing DnD online! Just over 20 years ago, he came over to Canada from the UK for a blind date. One of our other players came over to visit us from Australia a couple years back. Kat, I've got the Undergrowth palette, but I haven't played with it yet as I want to photograph it against our mossy forest floor before I get my brushes into it.

I bought the Danessa Myricks palette and LOVE IT. It’s my first palette from her and it’s so fun! It makes me love makeup and experimenting again! And the customization part is great, and you can bring certain colors with you. I actually needed something like this because I wanted more chrome and topper finishes. Also the new Sol De Janeiro scent, Victoria’s Secret duped it with their vanilla macadamia nut spray. And the pistachio creme is a dupe for the OG scent.

@@clairehawkes1112 Yeah I so don't regret it. I had a midi ND palette but felt bad using it bc it was around the same price and I had similar finishes from other palettes already. I ended up selling/decluttering it. Like this one is unlike anything I own so I'm ok with keeping it. Idk if she is considered Indie but the only other Indie brand I have is some of the Avatar collection from Lethal Cosmetics-- did not buy any eyeshadows but I hope to some day!

I DO NOT need the danessa myricks palette… but I REALLY want it 😂😂😂😂 I have SO many indie shimmers I have to use since I got bored of the standard brands. I just bought a bunch of individuals and make my own palettes . I already feel like I never really wear the crazy shimmery ones even if they are SO SHINY AND LOVELY. In reality people think I am weird if I wear it every day ( I do anyways most of the time but it is a LOOK to have a glittery eye when you work on a farm😂)

I'm so late, but GET THE LIGHTWORK VI!!! It's soooo good! AND, after you take the little palettes out, the remaining big palette is magnetic and you can build inside that, too! And thr formula is so beyond. I couldn't be happier with this.

Re: Elf x Stranger things. I’m 99% sure season 5 was supposed to be close to being out or already released. The writers strike fucked that up. But I bet they had a whole bunch of deals signed and they can’t wait forever, the makeup will go bad. So they are releasing the makeup at not the same time of the show😂

I am so happy with my DM Lightwork VI. I've stacked two six pan palettes and popped a bunch of my favourite Viseart mattes in the large palette. It has created so much extra space in my kit. 💜

I used to always buy at least one lipstick and/or special eyeshadows from the Mac Christmas Collections. This is the second year in a row I’ll be skipping altogether. The only thing that caught my eye turned out to be an eyeshadow P for Pink which I already own from a previous collection. 😢

I think the only situation where the elf x tinder collab could work is if they did a formula that’s meant for a date (like lipstick that wouldn’t rub off when you kiss or something) but then again, that could be done for Valentine’s Day, so there was really not much purpose behind it. The matches are a clever idea, but way too expensive for just “clever” (plus it’s chunkier than a regular lipstick so it makes no sense)

I first saw Beauty Creations in an ipsy bag here in Canada and I received a lip oil with a roller ball. Loved it for the nostalgia but it's really hard to apply. The formula is great and i wish i had the patience to decant lol. I have seen their lip oils with applicator in Marshall's here but haven't bought to see if the same formula. They are flavored and packaged more for kids.

So I got the elf set it's ok. The setting spray is scented in this very perfume-y, I didn't really like that, it's also way large and like sounds like spray paint when you shake it, the mist is really light. I haven't tried the primer yet but the lip glosses are p good. I hadn't used lip liner since like high school, and this formula is nice, it was a lot smoother than the ones that were on the market 15 years ago. Will def consider using lip liner in the future but this color is not for me, I'm really fair with natural red hair so the candy apple red is a bit much on me. I think the bag is really cute.

That single gold Nars eyeshadow is hilarious to me. Doesn't everyone have dozens of gold shades? I can open 5 different palettes and just use the gold shade in that.

Actually when I travel I would love one. I love gold eyeshadow and I use the bronzer as transition shade and 90% of my look is that . Black eyeliner , gold eyeshadow and bronzer/brush in the crease. However, that single it's kind of sparky, i'd like just a smooth metalic

OPI released a Wicked polish collection for holiday 2024- 12 shades in the regular and gel color formulas and 9 in their infinite shine formula.

Beauty Creations is a Latina owned brand! Its suuuper big in Latinamerica and some parts of the US. It’s super affordable over here and has some amazing products

I think the ew ABH brow gel is a firmer hold with maybe fibers? They have a soft hold formula that I love because I don’t like stiff or crunchy brows. I see this new gel doesn’t come in my shade 😳

Finally I am so excited for the SDJ 71 body cream like so excited because I use the 71 mist like daily and I have been screaming for the body cream and body wash , I mean it's been forever sense 71 has been out and they add to all their new body mist like ASAP and never did for the 71 so I'm jumping for joy like a teenager right now to hear thats coming 😂 I cheated and read the description. Ahh I just found out about the shimmer I am actually disappointed wish it was like the reg body cream with the 71 scent m I love the 71 and I get compliments like 10 times a day I also layer it with YSL LE Black opium. I don't get popcorn I get marshmallows Carmel and Nut

If NYX had included an eyeshadow primer that looked like a gluestick or superglue, I'd want it. Especially if they brought back the old formula that came in a white tube. The LE palette looks more like Tarte than Too Faced to me. Lol E.l.f. has been on my 💩 list since they came out with "O Face" lipsticks (did we really need to go there?) and the recent collabs aren't winning me back.

Agree, vulgar sexual terms used as product or shade names is a huge turn off for me, like I won’t even consider it and I certainly won’t be giving any as gifts.
