I just ordered the U2723QE which is the 4K version of the U2722DE. PPI is important to me, so a QHD resolution wasn't going to cut it unfortunately. I really like the 3 year panel exchange that Dell includes on their Ultrasharp monitors.

PPI ist crucial for me as a mac User as Well. Due to Apples scaling being shit, one has to Go with 109 ppi (1440p 27") or 218 ppi (e.g. 5K 27"). 4k 27inch is bad for macos

Unfortunately, from the bottom bezel, exactly in the middle, the panel had two diagonal lines of bright (sub) pixels that continue to burn at the same strength. Great video reviewing detailing a lot. I guess one question I am left asking is if it makes a difference if a monitor is USB c compatible versus thunderbolt and do I risk any charging issues if I choose a 60 watt monitor rather than a 90 watts considering my laptop may require 90 watts worth of power delivery ( i.e. a 16" Macbook Pro)?

Only during heavy use (video editing/gaming) will you see a slow drain on your battery percentage on a 15/16 MBP when using a 60W charger
@felixonrails2 жыл бұрын
For 1440p the importance is not huge, because at 60hz the bandwith of the USB-C is still enough. At 4k, the display eats almost the full bandwith and only thunderbolt 3 is enough to also allow more data for example for the ethernet or USB-C devices

Your review is terrible . You did not even once try to measure the brightness / color gamut or accuracy of the monitor . You did not even try to check the backlight bleed . You didn't even compare the monitor to any other similar screens like laptops . All you did is just read through the specs sheet and marketing blurbs and blindly pass it without verifying it with tests .
