Nah, pork done till it's white is a steak's equivalent of well done. They changed the requirements about a decade back, though most people don't feel comfortable cooking it on the rarer side. But that's how pork is really supposed to be done for maximum flavor. Perfectly safe to eat.

Why do chefs like their meat red. You might as well go over to a live cow & slice off a bit of meat & eat it. Thats one reason why humans cook on a fire not to keep the meat raw. I like my meat well done & I don't care what the chefs think of that as I know it's cooked not raw. I once went to a weekend workshop with a large crowd attending. & one of the people cooking served raw dough for dumplings. Everyone said how the food was wonderful when it was crap & if they eat out or at home they would refuse to eat that stuff. Strange how many develop the herd mentality even when things are wrong!
