Those pins on the spirit R's look like they come off easy. Do they stay in place while driving or is it recommended to remove them before hand?

I have a new set of Volk TE37 Saga S plus in matte blue. Front are 10.5 x 18 42 offset I’ll be fitting Falken RT660 in 315/30/18, rear are 9.5 x 18 33 offset and fitting Falken RT660 285/35/18s. I have done all the wheel well mods and will adjust camber with JZ coilovers. 🤑

My gawd I was frustrated watching this video! Talk about lack of planning. The customer didn’t listen to your advice regarding the 265’s? The customer didn’t do his research on wheel and tire specs for his FL5 ‘before’ purchasing $5,000 USD worth of high-end forged wheels and tires?! CrAzY

Like the wheels, but don’t understand the tendency for Type R owners to downsize from the factory 19 and 20 inch wheels for an 18 inch. Visually it does nothing for me. Wheels themselves look great. Shame.

They're lighter, cheaper tyres, provide a better ride quality. The only positive of the bigger wheels is the looks, everything else is worse.

Thanks for watching, and for commenting! There are a multitude of reasons we'd recommend downsizing, especially here in the UK! Our roads are littered with potholes and bumps meaning we see a surprising amount of damaged or completely cracked 20" FK8 wheels! Downsizing to an 18" will help massively to combat this, as well as providing a comfier ride. Tyres for 18s are also considerably cheaper to replace when it comes round to it. Changing down to 18s often means you'll end up with a lighter weight wheel, which improves the steering, acceleration and deceleration due to lower un-sprung weight. Visuals are always down to the owners preference, we definitely agree that the 20s look awesome however a fresh set of 18" aftermarket wheels with chunky semi-slick tyres is a hard look to beat! 🙌
