Thank you! Of all the stuff I'm on that I know is dropping next year, this is one of the ones I'm looking forward to the most.

I thought you use and endorsed the Elysia Sculpter not the SPL Pre one. Also neither of those has an insert for comressor,or eq. or patch bay etc. Don't you ever need to use compression, or reverb or echo effects ?

On this journey of exploring new preamps, I have hit on two incredible gems, the Skulpter and the Pre One, both from companies I had foolishly ignored before. Just amazing stuff. Luckily, I don’t need an insert, try never to use EQ and use the MT-48 for a light kiss of compression.

@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff If you use a MT-48, why would you need a pre at all? The Neumann MT has 2 pres wth plenty of gain, and dsp effects.

@@lukegowest You do it to get more options. The MT-48 has really great sounding on board preamps, but I just like these two preamps better on me and the way Merging designed the MT-48, I can go line in from any pre and take advantage of the MT-48’s top notch DSP and conversion. The Pre One and Skulpter’s tonal shaping capabilities give me something that even the great on board pres can’t.
