I liked The Perfection. It was a convincing story, the actors were great, and the music was gorgeous. On top of that, it was MEANT to be a horror movie. Idk why people are getting so upset about the gory and abusive content, it's HORROR, it's meant to unnerve and disgust us.

@TheSkyHazCloudz5 жыл бұрын
@@TOAOM123 Wow, this is just... insane. I'm disappointed that someone would even try to justify that. The kind of injuries people like Tony Hawk get are out of incident; if you're hurling yourself in the air and twisting around, if you mess up you'll get hurt because hurling yourself in the air and twisting around is dangerous. He gets hurt because of the nature of his sport. You can't really improve that much in skateboarding without there being a possiblility for injury. He has to take the injuries he gets in practice; he and those around him don't really have any choice in that matter. However, he did not have tacks sewn into his knee and elbow pads so that they would stab him when he took a fall, which would be equivalent to piano razor blades. He did not ever get hurt as PUNISHMENT for a mistake; he only got hurt as a CONSEQUENCE. That is the blatant difference that you're failing to see. If Tony falls, the consequence is scraping himself up. If someone messes up while playing piano, the consequence is a wrong note gets played and the song's tune is ruined. Someone doesn't /have to/ get hurt because they messed up on the piano, so inflicting injury on them because of it is intentional, which is why it's objectionable. Please understand the difference.

Alexander Zhmurov The director got the rights for it (it was based off of a book with the same name, the author being a lesbian and writing about her experiences) and changed it completely. he cast a 15 year old for the lead role, and made the two actors have an excruciatingly long sex scene (7 minutes, no stopping, no music). they had to be fully naked with fake vaginas. the actress were emotionally abused by the director. it wasn’t even a good movie (the book is much better, seeing how it is based of a true story, while the movie makes no sense.)

@@tamerafarly7666 Peter Porker is right, in both comments. Rich people, especially disgustingly rich people, are almost never held accountable for the horrible things they do. I honestly really loved it. I was a classically trained pianist and violinist and I remember practicing my instruments for HOURS to the point where my fingers had so many cuts (violin) or bruised and stiff (piano). Not sure if it's as competitive in Western countries but it was really competitive where I'm from. Nothing as severe as the movie happened but the amount of pressure that was placed on us was really intense to the point where some of my friends and I had sore bodies because of how much we practiced. It was insane! I stopped playing because I focused more on my career in science but I still have a tendency to apply the same intense practice habits on my bass. Even if I'm just playing for fun, I sometimes I have a tendency to be fixated on playing a piece perfectly. It even shows up when I study. Like, I wouldn't sleep until I memorized the lesson. I'm currently going through therapy and I'm learning that I don't need to be perfect all the time and that making mistakes is fine. The movie was like an exaggeration of some of the things people have gone through. It was one of my favourite genres as well, with the whole psychological/thriller bordering on horror. I mean, Boogiepop wa Warawanai is one of my favourite anime of all time and it's similar in terms of how it's structured and how fucked up it is. Doesn't hurt that the movie was gay as hell haha

@Sam Gallant The first season, anyway. I've never heard anything good about the rest and agree it breaks down. I haven't read any manga in quite a while but the manga is good and apparently didn't fuck it up the way the anime did. I thought the live-action movie was ok, especially compared to most other live-action from anime.

Personally, while I really enjoyed the - literally - twisted first half, I felt a twinge of disappointment when the true nature of the villain was revealed. I feel that revealing someone as a secret molester is becoming a modern horror cliche and there was potential for a more - ahem - perfect crescendo (tangent: this is why I personally respected that the villain of Don’t Breathe doesn’t actually rape the lead, because his motivations are very specific). That said, I don’t regret watching it, I think it combined interesting filming and storytelling techniques and, I can’t deny, the tension holding throughout was top class.
@noahcoleman81535 жыл бұрын
Please do an LME on booksmart, as someone who is graduating soon, I loved the message it had and how it didn’t have a villain, and broke the cheesy stereotypes of hs in movies that it set up in the first act
