I think that's what makes his character so good. You're not supposed to know how you feel about August. Like Malte said in this interview, it's easy to make a 'charicature' out of these characters, but August feels flawed in a very real way. The writers did an excellent job of drawing us in to his point of view, and you can often relate to (or at least understand) the struggles he went through that led him down the path he took.

@@ArenDsiire I agree. People still talk about Agust like he's a stereotype. He's more deep and relatable. Like yeah, he's annoying in many perspectives but that's not making him the bad person, he's a bit unlovable... it made me felt sorry for him. I sometimes feel this way too and that feeling can make people more obsessional, conflicting, sticky (jealous)

where are the audition vids of Malte, auditioning for the role of Simon. He's seams very comfortable with himself and i'm sure he would have done the role justice. he does a brilliant job as august. it isn't easy to play a part where you wind up being hated by everyone.. haha don't get me wrong. Omar does a brilliant job. i wouldn't change anything

I have never been so obsessed with a series before. I honestly can’t get enough of Young Royals. Though your character was very much despicable, I can somewhat see why your character did the things he did. Most teenagers don’t put much forethought into their actions. I have to say your portrayal of August was spot on. Just a side note- you and I share the same birthday ( though I’m much older 😉 ) Happy Belated Birthday 😊
