I think a Elden ring playthrough would be really nice, especially as it seems that you have a good knowledge on the lore. Playing the game once you are aware of the intricacies of the history really adds an amazing feeling to the world.

As someone who has played Elden Ring for more than 200 hours (DLC excluded, just beginning my journey in the realm of shadows), I can say with absolute certainty that it’s a great game. It’s not without flaws, though. I think if you decide to actually play it, you’ll be able to form a more complete picture of what the game is.

Do you think the video was lacking in its perspective on the game? Just curious what you think as a fan

@@TheStorytellersGuild1 no offense , but I just think that before you can say that ‘a game is a masterpiece’ you need to play it for a while at least. It just reminds of those journalists who come out with rave reviews about the game, having played it for an hour or so. Or not having played it at all, for that matter😅 the game is great, I stand by this. But as a gamer I do have a few gripes. One being that there are too many areas with very little content (the open world issue). Dark Souls is way better in this regard
@TheStorytellersGuild14 ай бұрын
That’s fair. Like I said, I mainly am dedicated to the lore and it’s existence. So, I thought it would be cool to talk about the game in that sense.

@@TheStorytellersGuild1 yeah, the lore in souls games is always on point. I like to watch some videos going into the details of the lore before playing so that I have the whole picture upon diving into the gameplay. Do you have another channel where you play video games?) I followed you for quite some time on your main movie reaction channel and would be glad to watch you play😁

If I do start playing, I’ll do it on here. I’ve been playing with the idea of doing an “author plays” or “writer plays” series, focusing on video games from a story perspective.

I never even heard of this game and this just makes me want to play it lol. It looks pretty cool though, but I be down to see some play throughs. I enjoyed watching your play throughs of Hogwarts Legacy from the other channel! I haven’t played it yet but I’ve been wanting to which I will be. :)

@@TheStorytellersGuild1 As a teen, I used to be into video games a lot. But now I’ve been focused on other things ever since I first started getting a job, so I only play video games once in a while now whenever I feel the mood. :)

Just saying, if your doing a playthrough, then remember that this game is HUGE and requires a whole lot of exploration and patience in order to progress. You will have to find your own ways to upgrade and come back stronger if a boss is too hard. Good luck!

I certainly will!!

I've thought about playing this but hearing you say there is one level of difficulty really turned me off of it. I personally have only gotten into Dragon Age, which starts with two books: The Stolen Throne and The Calling before you would get into the video game DA: Origin (2009). I really enjoyed the books and I think the game play is very story based. Also, your selections in game actually change the outcome for other games. They have a show and a movie or two which I've never watched. And they also have graphic novels. The latest (possibly last) game of the series is supposed to be out this fall. It's honestly kind of ruined other games for me because I think the story telling is so good in it, other games seem pointless without that sort of story.

That’s a really interesting type of storytelling

Have not played Elden Ring. 4808 days since A Dance with Dragons was released. Maybe G.R.R.M. could finish the series that made him if he’d quit doing side quests. Lol
