"The Phantom of the Opera" Medley

Yesterday, all I knew about Phantom of the Opera was that it was an opera with a phantom. Then we listened to this arrangement in choir. Today, I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!!!

+The General Welcome to the Phan ("Phantom" fans) community! :) Now that you've been introduced to the tale, may I impart a few suggestions: 1. Read the original novel by Gaston Leroux 2. Watch as many film versions as possible (especially the ones that star Lon Chaney, Claude Rains, Herbert Lom, and Charles Dance. And if you like cheesy '70s movies, check out "Phantom of the Paradise") 3. Listen to/buy the original cast recording (made in 1986) of Andrew Lkoyd Webber's "Phantom". It stars Michael Crawford as the Phantom and Sarah Brightman as Christine. 4. Avoid the novel "Phantom of Manhattan" and the musical "Love Never Dies" at all costs. They're blasphemous to the original story (both the story as written by Leroux and the story of the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber) and make absolutely no sense.

My high school choir tried to do a Phantom melody, we had 12 people in our choir, 9 girls and 3 guys, and the other two guys didn't sing...so it was the girls and me as baritone being forced to sing tenor... Ended up having the altos sing along with me so I wasn't soloing a range I couldn't hit at an age where voices crack. It was a nightmare. Despite the torture that it was, I still love this piece and sing it whenever I can. It's the only one we sang that wasn't ruined for me because of how terrible our choir was. ....thanks for letting me rant....lol Love me, that's all I ask of you.

We’re singing this in choir(just like everyone else in the comments) and my man decided to sing the girl part the 2nd to last rehearsal before our concert and was singing it, and I wasn’t singing it loud and he was like sing louder so I did and we hit the high note in the first part of the song and HE SANG IT PERFECT NO JOKE and I stopped singing I was laughing so hard it was GREAT!!

At the middle school, we had so many problems with this soundtrack, to include one of the sixth grade boys having to run off stage because he was having a major anxiety attack in the middle of the performance. But I find it funny that years before, there was an incident in the library with speculation of a ghost, so we called him the Phantom of the Richview. And now, being in the high school and having heard many ghost stories from the librarians, my friends and I go around singing "He's there; the Phantom of the Wildcats." (Wildcats being our school mascot.) 😂😂😂😂
