These guys calling Leorio trash don’t know how much they nerfed him in the 2011 series. In the original series it was Leorio that arm wrestle and broke some guys arm. Plus he opened the gate to Killua’s place by himself. Something neither Kurapika or Gon could do. I think in the 1999 version they tried to make it more more appropriate but in the 2011 version is the real Hisoka he’s like that in the manga and the biggest difference between them that the 1999 version had alot of fillers but 2011 version is just stuff from the manga

In the YorkNew Arc the 1999 version is more true to the manga. The 2011 version skipped multiple sections. More Phantom Troupe backstory in YorkNew, and more Phantom Troupe moments in Greed Island as well; in 1999 version. The only filler I noticed was in the Hunter Exam Arc, the girl after Killua and the Battleship (though that was awesome). Also, the 1999 version was darker then the 2011 (so not more appropriate), it even showed Killua holding and crushing the heart (2011 version just a sack).
