Late in the afternoon after the whole Comic Con day yesterday and this boy is still a little tired. Spent the afternoon just getting back on regular schedule, ironing, and getting ready for the upcoming week. Just pulled this up for a quick watch and have the feeling that you've jumped into a time machine here in the UAE and suddenly opened the door and "poof" you are back in Bohol, miles away from all of the energy that comes from putting a whole lotta humans in one place. Plus, I get a kick out of the whole sibling thing... Alodia's sister makes me laugh. She's wonderful comic relief and I think she and Haley are great comic foils in the "World of Wilodia." You know the evening before you go back to work... internal tension ratchets up without any conscious effort. Seeing this just slows the heart rate and breathing back down and makes the world right again. It's always good when you walk into work with calming visions of sand and clear water. I was thinking about Boracay earlier today. People from all over have come to the Philippines to celebrate sun, sand and fun in Boracay. Tourism has been the lifeblood of the island and has pumped countless pesos into the national economy. Unfortunately, fast growth has led to problems and now the six month shutdown. I'm sure there are families and homes with the cloud of uncertainty hovering over them. The island surely needs cleanup, but there are certainly families who depend on tourism. I hope they can ride out the storm and Boracay will become better and stronger through this cleanup. My prayers are with them. That said, keep shedding light on other wonderful destinations in the Philippines. There are so many gems that have been overshadowed by Boracay and now have the opportunity to shine. It still is "more fun in the Philippines", and the word needs to get out that there are fantastic places to visit all over the archipelago. Okay... so that ends my standing up on a soapbox and pushing to look at new and unique tourist venues. The Bohol vlog was spot on... I want to go there and run off with all of their bathroom soap, shampoo, scented body wash, and slippers. I want to drink buko in the pool and just be as lazy as humanly possible. Now... if you can... get the word out about other places. I need ideas about future places to take my family! Enjoy the rest of your time in our fair desert land... Take the squad to New York and do it all while you're there! It was a blast to see you and Alodia! I've got to go finish ironing pants now. Keep on keepin' on!

The wife and I visited Amarela Resort on Panglao Island in July last year aswell. Like you, we too had an amazing experience. The hotel and staff is great, small but romantic and with a more private are of the beach nearby. Also the food was amazing, especially their pork chops were to die for. Wish we would've stayed there for more than 2 nights.
